Somebody needed to make the first post,haha. Here is what I did for storage....
removed the back seat and made this plywood shelf. That is a 37x12.5r 17 spare.
Below photo was before lift, wheels and tires.
My camping gear is a 6 person Coleman popup tent and cot, Strongback chair, ice chest, cooking equip., tools and personal kit. I don't do more than a couple days at a time. I have a 4x4 RV for longer outings and use it as a hub. JL is mostly for exploring.
this was the first version when spare was still on the tailgate. Original shelf wasn't made for holding the spare.
