Dumb question from a newb here. (Had one jeep previously but it was a lease so I kept it stock). The standard tire/wheels are 9” wide right? So 12.5 are a much wider tire? What is backspacing and how much is needed to run 12.5’s? I think OP has 9” wide and said he can crank it either way and not rub, can the same be said for the 12.5’s on stock suspension?

I'll buck the "stock wheels" trend here...no lift and 315/70 STT Pro tires...

That looks nice! And close to what I want to do... Can you confirm if your rims are 17x9 with 4.5 backspacing? And if so, roughly how far out do the tires stick out past the fenders? Thanks!

Just had 17x9 Fuel Hostage wheels and 35/12.50R17 BFG KO2 TA tires added today! Very happy with this setup!

That looks awesome! Any issue with the spare tire mount? From what I read, it should hold just fine. Also, did you have to do anything special to help the spare clear the bumper? I’m about to move up to 35’s myself.

Ok so these 35 x 12.5 will NOT fit on the std rims right? Is that stock suspension? Can you crank the wheel without rubbing?

No issue with the spare tire fitting on the rack. I have the steel bumpers and it sits right on the bumper and the bumper actually adds support.

The 35” tires will fit on stock rims, but they will wear differently. I drive interstate daily and want the tires to wear normally.

35x12.50 nitto ridge grapplers. Like them a lot.
How do you like the tires compared to the KO2s? Considering these in 37s.

So are these tires wider than the stock 33’s

Has anyone tried these setups to see if full articulation is possible for off-roading?

What lug nuts are you using? I could not get the bottom lug on my spare with the camera lock

The local tire business ordered the lug nuts with wheels. They were able to mount the spare with lug nuts and no issue with the backup camera cover.
