What to do about fog lights on a new bumper?

So looking at a new bumper and one of the ones I like has no place for the fog lights. What does everyone that goes with this style bumper do about the lights? I'm guessing a good coating of electrical tape over the connector to keep crud out of it? Can't say I've ever really used my fog lights so I don't think I would miss them. Any other suggestions or thoughts on it?

cut the connector off and wire them to a set of offroad lights. or to a set of aftermarket fog lights.
