Magnets will not attach to aluminum. You probably will never see them for the JL.
Wow, can't believe I overlooked that glaring detail. I would make an excuse that it's my wife's Jeep but I knew they were aluminum, epic fail. Thank you for the reply, much appreciated.

Haha. I feel like an idiot, I've been looking for some for 3 weeks and that fact never crossed my mine.

My Jeep club has some magnetic club decals. I bought a couple for my Jeep but the only place they will stick is from the rear corners...lol

I was thinking about these the other day. My buddy has a set for his JKU and they did an amazing job protecting his black JKU in Colorado. But if there was room, what if you epoxy magnets on the inside of the door? I've never seen the inside of the door panel so I don't know how much room there is but I'd think they'd have to be pretty strong magnets to work. And maybe more work than it's worth.

Hoping instead of magnetic, someone makes them electrostatic.

I like the idea of a kit like this to help with scratches on the trail: https://www.extremeterrain.com/smittybilt-mag-armor-magnetic-side-protection-0718-jk-4-door.html

Has anyone seen any for a JLU yet? Searches are coming up empty, appreciate your time!
I've seen a post about a roll-on plastic/vinyl film that peels off after use. It would be a pain using it every time you go on the trail but if it lasts a few weeks, it may be worth the headache.

Sounds silly, but get the big plastic cling wrap from COSTCO and just circle around the Jeep 3 or 4 times. You know, just like they wrap items on pallets before shipping. Then make cuts for the doors and the grill.

lol! Would look silly, but would probably work!

I saw these at SEMA. They are magnetic for the JK, but they told me they already have the parts molded for the JL but hey are working on an attachment system to replace the magnets.
