I’m finally in the I have an issue with my Jeep club and this is it. Super annoying and must get fixed. The dealership in Frisco, TX claimed they’ve never heard of this issue and said they couldn’t recreate the noise. Shocker. I told them someone had to be sitting in it. I thought about staying but after being there for almost two hours I told them I can wait until my next oil change.

So I had this same issue out of the factory and had the passenger seat frame replaced. First trip took them an entire day to diagnose, they ordered the part and took them 2 days to install.

500 miles later I now have the same issue again. So apparently the replacement frame wasn't any better than the first seat frame. It's very annoying and disappointing. Now I have to go back to the dealer and recreate the entire experience again.

I can only imagine how frustrating this is for you! If you'd like assistance when you return to the dealer, feel free to let us know. We are happy to set up a case and escalate it to a case manager on your behalf.

I have an appointment for this today, but wondering if it’s worth loosing my Jeep for a few days if it’s not fixing the problem? Anyone else have the noise come back after repairs? Thanks

Add me to the list of people with the passenger seat clunk issue. I thought something heavy was rolling around and banging into something, but looked all over before finding this thread. I just contacted the dealer and they are 12 days out scheduling an appointment to look at it.

I'm of course not to please, but some of that is because I am also trying to have these other issues addressed:

Radio Volume drops and returns suddenly STAR Case S1808000155 (already taken to the dealer once and contacted US customer care with no resolve)
Speaker in drivers cabin area (near knees) has distortion/rattling. STAR Case S1608000150 (already taken to the dealer once with no resolve)
Vehicle wanders and requires constant small steering corrections TSB # 02-003-19 (this is the first time taking it in for this issue)

Had my passenger seat rail replaced yesterday, fixed the problem. The service advisor said there was a broken weld in the old rail.

I brought my JLUS in for a look at my noisy passenger seat last week. They confirmed that the seat frame was bad and had to order one with no ETA. Hopefully this fixes the issue because it is annoying when someone over 140 lbs. sits down in it. Will update when seat is again worked on!
We had that issue, it was merely an under-torqued bolt.

I checked the bolts before I took it in, they replaced the bottom rails. Others have had the same with the 18s. So far so good and its been over six months since repair..

Add me to the list! 2019 JLU Rubicon 2.0. I’ve only had it for three months.
Terrified of the nearest dealer as I had a bad experience there with a 2008 JK (but this is not where I bought my current JLU, that's 45 minutes away).
I’m also concerned about going to a service dept where I didn’t buy the vehicle; worried they will show bias.
Anyway, just recording for posterity, I think I will try the grease route first.

My Passenger seat having similar issues as well, bolts have been checked and all were tight when service team inspected it. Currently waiting for rail parts that were ordered by them to come in to have it replaced. Hope this fixes it.

My passenger seat just started doing this poping noise with a passenger in the seat last month. I just figured I fed her to well. @JeepCares I will need to get this fixed as well as the issue with my M210 rear end limited slip problem. So far I have had the cracked windshield from the heater that jeep came back and said was from a chipped windshield (super tiny chip that could have easily popped out when it cracked), an alignment issue they corrected, and a new steering stabilizer. I have never had so many issues with a new vehicle. Very disappointed in the quality control going on, or the cheapening of the flagship Jeep product by the bean counters in the name of saving a buck on our behalf. I'm worried what else will pop up now. I already read I cannot upgrade tire size or wheels because those who have have had claims for the rear end denied.
