No, we are pretty friendly:like:
Alrighty. Might be true. You seem pretty nice.

Texans are pretty nice too. They just don’t wave at me. Maybe it’s my lack of mods.

so, they either hate me or think my Rubicon a dressed up Mall Crawler.

‘it’s tough down here in Texas.

Sometimes I find I don’t have a chance to wave back because of traffic or other more immediate matters.

It’s hard to wave back in 3 milliseconds, and to see a hand waving in the dark.

It helps to give the oncoming Jeep advanced notice that you are waving or are going to be waving. Keeping your hand above the steering wheel helps; keeping your hand in direct sun light also helps.

Don’t take it personal. Many times other drivers might not see you as a fellow Jeeper until it’s too late to wave. I have noticed that I tend to notice other Jeeps much more when I’m in my F150 than in my Jeep. If you’re east of Houston on a weekend, I’ll be sure to wave.

I am driving my first Jeep. It’s two weeks old.

I live in Houston. Jeeps EVERYWHERE

I’m waving. Nobody is waving back.

Everyone hates me?
Provided people don't know you in your new rig and don't already dislike you personally--things I seriously doubt on both fronts---you must realize this is simply a product of you being exposed to people, who for whatever reason, aren't participating in the Jeep Wave process.

Should they? I think they should at least wave back but that's just my opinion. And before we entirely blame them, some of it has to be chalked up to life experience and the adage "that no good deed goes unpunished."

A while back, as I got off a plane in a major city and proceeded to rent a car there was a sign at the rental counter that said, "please do not flash drivers whose lights aren't on at night. It's gang initiation time and inductees are required to open fire on motorists that do that."

The other day I'm waiting in line at the busy supermarket with the Thanksgiving buying crowd. The woman behind me asks me to watch her cart in line while she gets something she forgot. I do so and strike up a conversation with her while waiting to check out. Being in the supermarket for a while I take my coat off, but remember to transfer important things from it into my pants.

As I'm checking out and as my eyes are diverted with paying I see her going into my jacket pockets out of the corner of my eye. I turn around, she pulls out quickly and I say nothing--as by design there's nothing of value to steal there.

People not waving to you isn't any more your fault than me being the target of a pick pocket.

Alrighty then. Looks like I need to get over to Pasadena more.

In my area, the teenagers wave. It’s the soccer moms that never wave.

most of the old farts wave.

all in all it’s only about 40-50%.

was up in rural Michigan this weekend, almost 90% Jeep wave. It was fun.
I noticed men waving back at me , a woman in a firecracker red wrangler. Other women? Forget it..they wont even make eye contact.

That’s how it is in my area too. Soccer Moms never wave, I don’t even bother anymore. Most men wave as do women that drive jeeps with mods.
