This is your idea of a relevant comeback? You got burnt, and it was well played. And in return you are resorting to what is one step below "your mama" jokes? This is why everyone here busts your balls and laughs at you.
Yes, I know.
Your right.
I love you.
Beat it.

Stranger: "I really love your Jeep, but I have kids". :(
Me: "Easy fix. Get rid of the kids". ;)

I don't get this argument. My grandkids love riding in our Jeeps (JKU and JL).

I just attribute it to Jeep envy. They have to justify in their minds why they can’t get one....
^^^ This!

The same would be true if they were making a negative comment to anyone who just got a new vehicle.

You are spot on. I have seen this time and again: with folk who have a Corvette, a nice Acura, Audi, Cadillac or even a high-end Chevy Impala.

However, I don't understand the thought process behind it. If I see someone driving a vette, which is my dream car someday, i wouldn't put it down rather I'd tell them it's an awesome car and could I look (but not touch) it.

Oh well, different strokes as they say.

My favorite are the "don't you know how dangerous that is" lectures from strangers when I have the roof/doors off. It's weirdly polarizing. People either give a big smile and thumbs up or look at you like you just punched their dog.
only had the chance to strip the Jeep down once.

kids were still in the back seat when I got home.

I am with you. Kids still there when you get home. Cool. People worry way to much. I am thinking the parents that worry about kids in a topless doorless Jeep are not the parents that had their kids riding dirt bikes at age three, shooting pistols at four, driving farm tractors at five and mowing grass with a riding mower at seven..
