Was this on a 2-door or 4-door? They have different steering ratios.
Mine is 2-door. My buddies running 37's are 4-door.

Are they seriously different ratio?? I can tell my 2-door is way more "twitchy" than the 4-door (steering much more sensitive).

Yes, they are different. The Gladiator is different also.

Lock to lock 3.5 turns in the two door and 3.2 in the four door. The longer wheelbase of the four door makes it less twitchy.

No steering complaints from me with heavy Nitto MT 37's (~85 lbs) and heavy AEV Borah Beadlock wheels (~40? lbs with the true beadlock ring). Also have EVO 3.5" lift and a winch up front. Turbo 4 is netting me 16-17 around town and 11-12 on highway if I go 75. I keep it around 65 and get around 15-16 assuming no wind/elevation.

If you have a longer commute, I'd recommend sticking with either a lighter MT/hybrid, or an AT. For me, I drive 80 miles a day on average and the Nitto's are getting to me.

Thanks, I was thinking about running Toyo R/T they weigh about 78lbs and my wheels are 28lbs.

Thanks, I was thinking about running Toyo R/T they weigh about 78lbs and my wheels are 28lbs.
I'm likely going to switch to an AT KO2 that's C rated, since it matches the stock KO2 that's supplied, just slightly larger (35 vs 33). I think this will offer the best balance of ability on road and offroad (not serious wheeling; will swap my other wheel/tire setup for those weekends every so often). Also a heavy 37 will minimize your ability to stay in 8th gear, which I noticed harmed my gas mileage significantly.

I think a 37 KO2 or maybe even the Milestar (more of a hybrid) would minimize that impact. If I couldn't swap back/forth that's probably the route I'd go.
