I have the Cooper STT Pro's and while the Jeep itself handles them without a sweat, I would get a less aggressive tread if I had to do it over. I drive a lot on the highway and didn't realize how loud they would be. I know, they aren't as loud as other mud tires but for me, on long trips, they are kind of annoying. Nothing against the tire, just my .02 in hindsight.

My daily driver. Posting this because can’t seem to find any posts showing a 2 door JL on 37s. They fit nice, ride great, road noise isn’t bad (Mastercraft), and also tires are at 30psi. Still getting 19 mpg with speedo adjusted to tire size. Getting a 2.5” RK X-factor lift in a few weeks. Love these tires.

This makes sense, for those conditions you have, even though they are quieter than other brands. For me, so close to retirement age, I have no problems with the noise on long trips and I found the material grips better than others I have wheeled with, so I think they are all good. I put 1800 miles on the stock K02's just getting home from the dealer (awesome trip), and they were great for those highway miles.

I feel like I'm methodically hunting down every thread on 37's...while I keep hearing about how well the 8-speed auto does, I've found folks with the 6-speed manual (like mine) have and/or are looking at re-gearing. I love the manual and special ordered to get one, but I may be looking at one of it's limitations.

@Arkewn , point on the cost that come with 37's seems to vet out and add in a re-gear takes the cost up considerably. A thousand here, two thousand there adds up...I keep checking the sofa, but I'm not finding that much coin.

@TTEChris , you have a lot of Jeeps coming your way - any input on the 6-speed impact?

We have three in house 6spd's :like:

On my 4dr and my business partners 2dr with 37's I was ok daily driving them, but 6th gear became somewhat useless. Where the bigger tires and factory gearing bothered me most with the 6spd is offroad. I found myself having to slip the clutch a little more than I would like to gain momentum for climbs. Before our next trip I will be installing my 5.13's(I have 40's now) and 4.88's in our 2dr with 37's.

I've only had it back 24hrs but have driven 250 miles city in those 24hrs. 37x12.50x17 Toyo MT's. It drives great, love it. I had a 2011 JKU on 35x12.50x17 Toyo MT's before. This had more pickup and drives way better than my JKU on 35's and I'm on 37's.
I wouldn't change a thing :jk::rock:

You Rock and thank you @TTEChris for getting back to me and your input. I kept coming back to 4.88's as the answer to make them work. You hit on one of my hidden concerns that I knew I was fooling myself on thinking the 4:1 would make up for it...I'm not hitting trails near yours or others caliper, but I don't want to take away my main skill advantage; the Jeep.

I had a 14 JKUR with AEV 3.5 and 35s. auto tranny and re-geared to 4.56 gear ratio....

now I have 18 JLUR with 3.5 RK and 37s not change to gear ratio.

now Difference to ride with 37s, I'd say my jk was softer but I have different lift so can't judge that!
this 8 speed tranny is amazing and it accelerate faster than jk and stopping is same.

MPG on my jk was 14 average and is 15.7 on JL.

you defiantly see 8 gear less on freeway, I recently came back from a trip and had cargo and rear seats full as well as a 150 quart cool box full on the rack.... did not see 8th gear at all and mostly was on 6th.

Overall couldn't be more happy with the set up, but every day I experience some sort of electrical issue! from camera going out and coming back to ESC and autostart issues.

How’s the ride with the 37s and no lift? Any rub at full lock?

What did you use to calibrate tire size? Was it the flash cal?

Seriously, walk out to the Jeep, pop your hood, remove fuse box cover, and make sure they’re all seated. (5min) Check how tight the clamps are on your battery terminals too!
