it is the outside casing of a boiler.
Looked like it. Why "jack" tho? Short for jacket maybe or jacket stack? I've just not heard it before. And not a lot of boilers like that out this way I guess. :)

Good morning Jeepers, we have a cold but sunny day today :sun: There’s snow on the mountains in North Wales this morning, unusual for this time of year.

Yumm. We used to hit The Great American Bagel when in Seattle back in the 90's. Is an offshoot of The Great Canadian Bagel. Places are mostly relegated to airports now, and NOT the same :crying:.

Maybe still in their glory and going strong around where they started - Michigan, Illinois, Ontario?
Haven’t seen one in a few years. I think anti-carb sentiment did them in.

We just noticed that this week we have just exceeded our longest stay in one place since the houses we grew up in. 6 yrs.

Uh oh, past due for the wanderlust to start brewing ;)
I hear ya - for the longest time 3 years in one place was long until I retired. Managed 6 years in our last house after I retired and we just moved a year ago - my wife is already talking about where we might go next. Thought the wanderlust you mentioned would settle down in retirement:).

Growing up, the longest I ever lived in one town was four years. After the military, I had five in Tucson and five in Ajo. Left AZ in '79, and been in this place 40 years. Plan to die in this house... in twenty or thirty years....maybe.

Good morning all... I know I'm pushing it but it is another beautiful day in Northern Nevada. Long day driving yesterday. Over the pass to our daughter seven hours round trip.
