By the way good presets on the radio.
Thanks, the second 6 are set to Rock since I went to High School in the mid-'70s. Still, have to have few for the Wife preset. Made Donut run this morning so didn't take Rear window panels off for short trip. But still, it was no record cold, just 33 !!! People still stare. ;)
I see you live in Arlington. I was born at Arlington Memorial Hospital on Randall Mill road. Lived in Arlington until 1970. Still had Uncle and Aunt there till a few years ago. You know how hot Texas summers are kind of hard to go Topless at 100 and heat index 110. But loving Fall and Winter to come. I like your Jeep !! Put more photos on your garage page. I almost went with the Rubi but didn't have one with Sky One Top at that time and this Sahara was sitting on the Showroom floor and my wild hair popped up. Temp pic little blurry. Coffee in one hand and phone other hand and thumb on the steering wheel. :jk:

Installed the rear seat recline kit. The hardest part was removing the “gap cover”...too many clips holding it down. I reused the clips, just had to fix the prongs. I did it by tapping the clip over an old hatchet with a hammer...quick and easy and didn’t have to worry about getting stabbed by those sharp prongs. Took almost 1 1/2 hours.

With this installed, my floor mats don’t sit flat on the floor. Trying to decide if I should trim them to fit, but I’ll leave it for now.

I made the mistake of not installing the recline kit before putting in my cargo mat. Tried to yank off the gap cover and a couple of the clips came off. thought they were breaking so stopped. Did you just yank out the cover and not bother with the clips coming off? any better way to remove the clips without creating all the extra work? I have three kids in carseats in the back and they would really appreciate this mod. Thanks.

Finally got the BFG 315 70 R 17s put on. Also put Rugged Ridge Entry Guards / door sill protectors. Sorry it's so dirty!

PS - for anyone considering different wheels/tires, there is a robust market for you to try to sell wheels/tires on this forum!

Nice Jeep. Watch your doors for water leaks. There was a forum thread by someone who wrote he put those door sills on and that lip that goes over edge made his door rubber seal leak some. He said didn't seal well with that lip over the edge. Just FYI.

I used a crow bar to gently get the the cover off and still broke a couple tabs off of the cover. You might be able to see it in the pic below. Also, a pic of how I used the crowbar. Lay your seats down though. I took this pic this morning to show you what I did and had the seats up. So, I backed the thin metal that the retainer clips are in with a piece of wood, and used a panel removal tool under my crowbar to give me more angle to the crow bar so I could push it down further, if that makes sense. You can see in one of my previous pics that the piece of wood is still under the the metal retainer bracket.

Got my lod sliders finished up..... I wasn’t going to do steps, I liked my ground clearance, even though there’s a lot of lower hanging fruit under there I like the high and tight look between the wheels, but I was overruled...:(... fortunately with these I only lost a half an inch, and the boss is happy...:)... happy wife, happy life...here’s, before and after.

Installed my ROAM frame mount side steps. LOVE the look. Did the Roam logo in red to match my Rubi highlights.

Lol...thanks...yeah, it stays in the garage when we’re not in it. There is certain times of the year that happens, mostly summer months, but it’s so hot here in the summer it takes all the fun out of it. From now until April/ May the rain is pretty predictable.....:)

Yeah I work in construction so lots of 100 plus degree days out there, I’m alot younger and love 60s 70s rock  your Jeep looks great too! any upgrades in the future? I’m going with 315 70 17 on different rim’s and 1.5 spacer in front with shock extensions and adj trackbar and a 3/4 spacer in rear to get rid of factory rake so I will be selling my factory tires and rims in a month or two just a heads up to everybody.

Thanks, I knew I would be showing my age earlier. First time Jeep owner here. Been Ram owner for years. My son has a Jeep with a 3.5 lift and 37's but he is young and lives in Florida roaming beaches. I didn't want to go big so my 4 Wheel part friend recommended the Tearflex Spacer Kit. The 2.0-inch front removed the Factory Rake and 1.5 inches in the rear gave more clearance for the BFG KO2 33's. I have done some moderate trail off-roading. I had to unhook my Sway Bars so thinking of putting disconnects on so it's easier to unhook. I am looking at retiring on my 62nd birthday and going to look by late next year at the 2021 Rubicon. Since the Rubi is already set for real off-roading without much mod's. That will be my Jeep to retire with. :jk:

Replaced my Rusy’s Track Bar Bracket with the Synergy Track Bar Reinforcement with Steering Brace. This thing is awesome. Instant improvement. They whole steering system is rock solid.
