My month old JLR has just started bucking, after a 10 day trip riding nc backcountry.
First month was flawless.
Im running 4.88s on 35s with a MT.
Much has been said about engine testing etc. I think its rear control arms allowing excessive movement of rear axle. I know this sounds crazy. Ive driven manuals for over 40 years and never experienced this.
COULD IT BE REAR AXLE ?

"Bucking"..... are you referring to low speed 1st gear lunging? Happens after letting clutch out and staying in 1st gear?

Or slowing down to say second going thru walmart parking lot.
Its not stalling, its trying to drive at say 4mph.

Exactly.... My wife's two door JLR does the exact same thing. Can't remember when I noticed it, but it was early on. A year old and 6000ish miles on it. Went to 37x13.50 and 4.88 gears and notice it more in 2nd now. I believe it's just inherent to drive train/gearing

Guess i will get use to it and learn to use clutch and brake to tame it.

Update, my Jl has just had a rear end failure. It had a gear swap from dealership. It actually was sloppy in the rear. Just not trac bars. After 39 new trucks, jeeps ive never had a rear end failure to know how it felt .
So hopefully this slackness, sloppiness being fixed will also cure the minor bucking.

Was it issues with the pinion?
Yes pinion failed is what i was told over phone. Havent seen it yet myself. Improper setup i guess as it only has 4300 miles on it.

Why Sahara?

8.4 Uconnect was a must for me.
Big brakes.
Selec-Trac All wheel drive.
Proximity lock and remote start.
Leather seat. And to an extend cold weather group that is often optioned on the Sahara.
Better suspension and side steps.
Also the cheap twin-tube shocks on the Sport leaves a lot to be desired..

I also love the look of body-colored fenders.

I hate to say it, but I know it seems like you can do without them but they add so much more convenience and comfort once you have them you would never want to go back.

If you are not mechanically inclined, some of the upgrades you have to perform on a sport is expensive and relatively difficult.
I also would have gotten a Rubicon if I knew this before purchase.

Did you have vibration at freeway speed?
Yes, but mostly felt like loose play upon slowing up or acceleration. And the bucking started not long before , so i thought it was rear control arms. Almost replaced them

Isn't the suspension/shocks exactly the same on the Sahara/Sport?
