Good point.

Every time I think I should just go with 35’s, I see some 37’s and I think... that’s what I really want. But, it seems 37’s open up a whole new set of issues and a lot of additional stress throughout the suspension and drive train.
I hear ya...I also forgot to mention the added cost of reinforcing the tailgate hinges...another $500+. The mopar reinforcement seems like a bad design bc it doesn't beef up the hinges.

I have 315/70/17 ko2's with 2.5" lift on my 6 speed with rubi axles/brakes and have been coveting more agressive 37s for a few months...definitely have wheelwell space for them and would look better. However, to go from 35's to 37's, total cost would realistically be around $5k if I wanted it to perform properly on and offroad. That's factoring cost of 37s, regearing to 4.88, synergy or yeti draglink/tie rod & Ace hinge reinforcement. I'd also be very tempted to buy the American Adventure Lab fender chop kit + liners for front(another $500) and chop the rear fenders + add liners.(another $150). It's a never ending money pit.. :headbang:

man that 2" on 37s is a great look, wonder how well the MOPAR lift flex is. It would appear that the days of needing a 4" lift are now obsolete with high fenders. That Jeep looks just as tall as a JKU on a 4" with 37s...could just be camera angle too but it looks dang good.

These JLs are going to look massive and be beastly with 4" kits.....especially the 2 doors!
2 days ago I picked up my jlu rubicon from dealer after having the moose / fox 2” lift installed and bfg 37’s put on. I have the 2.0 turbo. Plenty of power and the trans handles like it was designed for it. Today drove 200 miles of highway. At 90 she was moving around a lot. Up to mid 80’s no issues but you do need to hold on with both hands.

I like what you did there with the 5" lights. A little more down low and not blocking the air flow. Nice setup. :like:

I have the Mopar tailgate hinge kit and it works great. I think it puts upward pressure on the tailgate to compensate for the heavier tire because when I remove the tire and close the tailgate it doesn’t shut right. When I put the tire back on it shuts perfect.

I had the hinge kit painted to match the body to keep the factory look.

That looks good, we just moved up to 315s and owning a TJ I’m concerned w the tailgate eventually sagging. And was about ask how does it help it keeps the factory hinges????

Looks good painted. The effectiveness of the mopar kit seems to depend on where the tailgate weakness lies. Looking at the design(I'm not an engineer), it looks like it beefs up the strength of the 2 lateral plates/beams going from the hinges to the tire carrier and doesn't address the hinges directly. In theory, it could/should strengthen the back wall of the tailgate and more evenly distribute the load on both hinges allowing the hinges to hold a little more weight. This assumes the weight isn't distributed evenly in stock form and the stock hinges aren't the critical components like they have been with previous models.

For $550, the mopar kit doesn't strengthen the hinges and that's alot of $ to not address the hinges. I see that most people running 37s and larger are buying aftermarket bumper/tire carrier combo or something like the Ace/Rugged Ridge actual hinge upgrade kit rated for 40" tires for about the same price as the mopar kit.

As a data point, I've been running a 315/70/17 ko2 with aftermarket wheel(92 lbs total) for almost a year on the stock carrier and have bounced the jeep around offroad and it's held up fine.
