@Motobilt has a pretty sweet option here. I'll probably be going with that eventually when I replace the rear bumper.

I like the Motobilt but I have a spare tire spacer from a JK that flips the bolt pattern from two top and one bottom to one top two bottom. I have asked Motobilt a few times if the mount can be flipped but have not received a reply.

I thought about the hitch mount idea. Was going to make my own. Only issue would be when i want to use my hitch mounted bike rack ir tow my utility trailer

Why can’t these aftermarket companies make a damn steel bumper that has a damn spot for the license plate?

That’s the real question. Instead everyone has to develop workarounds all the time.

If FCA can do it in their steel bumpers certainly the aftermarket crowd can right?

Yeah, I’m hating the LP mounted in the spare. Robbing me of rear view camera vision.

There are two brackets that I'm aware of that still uses the factory camera mount. Most others you're either cutting the stock carrier and relocating the camera or moving the camera entirely.

B/c functional clearance for offroading takes precedence over mounting a plate.
So the FCA steel bumper group isn’t meant for off-road?

I get it, an angler design is optimum, however, there HAS got to be a way.

It’s like an engineers dream problem.
