Looks great!
Can't wait to hear first hand how those Feniex AI lights perform.
I’m in the market, in your opinion, what’s the deal with these? The flood and spot sounds interesting.

They operate in three modes. Basic on/off where you can dim it all the way down, full brightness where you can manually adjust the beam from spot to flood and AI where it adjust the beam automatically based on your speed. It comes with a small GPS receiver that is mounted inside the Jeep and plugs into the controller. According to my rep, you can upload trail maps and it will automatically adjust the beam for the trial but I haven’t tried that yet.

For cost, they are on par with rigid but build in austin Tx, have a 5 year warranty and are extremely over built.

We get ours through https://ultimatelightingsolutions.ecwid.com/ they are local to us. If you call them, the owners name is Doug and tell him Brett sent ya. He can work out a great price for you.

Thanks, I just read the manual and like the autonomous mode and the turn detection, so cool.

Been steadily making progress. Received the next venture fuel door air fitting plate damaged. They are sending out one that isnt damaged. Great company and excited to work with them more. Just about have the wiring in the rear done for the fridge, compressor and light. Had more delays on parts unfortunately. Here’s a few pics. Also knocked out the steer smart stuff, Fox shocks and MC control arms

Had a couple parts delays but working on getting things how I like them. Need to clean up the wiring a little more tomorrow but there’s just not much room to run things as clean as I’d like. None of this will be visible under the MASS platform with the fridge slide and drawer but that’s only more reason to make sure it’s perfect. Ran the air line thru a grommet that’ll attach in the fuel filler door.

All the steer smart stuff is installed and aligned. Waiting on 2 more LCA. There was an issue with the first ones and the crew at MC was quick to get me replacements out. Can’t say enough good things about that company.

Incorporating the fox ats steering stabilizer into the steer smart stuff wasn’t horrible but definitely a pain. Shocks are in and I’m ready to see how much the ride has improved.

Went to a great buddies house and we (he) designed, cut and bent a custom light bar bracket. I ordered a universal one from rigid but it was slightly to wide and details matter. Pics to come, I primed it today and will paint tomorrow.

Also had a concrete guy come out and give me a quote for about 3200 sq ft of additional parking. Tired of the rocks and Dirt getting tracked into the shop

One more big purchase was a new torque wrench to follow jeeps torque specs with ft lbs plus angles.

Made a bunch of progress and in the home stretch. Had to build a custom mount for the light to sit on, GPS receiver is mounted, installed all the AAL stuff and dang is it nice. Also knocked out the next venture air line in the fuel door. What a great idea!

Haven’t updated this is a while. Wrapped this project up. Worked thru a ton of road blocks. Had issues with shock clearance. Steering component clearance and a melted plug! Added a 1.5” lift and it made a huge improvement in looks too. On a stock height JL a fox ats won’t work! Learned that too.

Ended up running dedicated 8ga wiring from the aux battery to the 15a self resetting breaker for consistent power without relying on the 12v plug. Reworked the wiring a little while I was in there. Pics coming soon once it’s cleaned up. Been raining terribly here lately.

Also added on 4000 sq ft of Concrete around the shop

By the way, you may want to consider a different charging configuration for you Odyssey battery. The Odyssey manual says that optimal charging is at 15 volts. The stock "smart" alternator only charges at around 13.7 volts. While this will charge the Odyssey, it won't ever be fully charged, and it's life will subsequently be limited. Although I think you say my photo on facebook, I used a Redarc BCDC charger that has a 15-volt charge setting for Odyssey batteries.

Also, that line you have coming off the pump may eventually melt after using the compressor for a while. The air that comes out of the compressors can become very hot after extended use. You might consider a more heat-resistant air line for at least the first foot or so. .

Looks great! I went with what next venture sent me and admittedly don’t work with the arb compressors much. Great idea to upgrade the line though, I can order some in for the next phase of the build down the road. I personally prefer our powertank but see the benefit of the compressor for sure!

I just received my diff covers from Next Venture.
I got to use the compressor for the first time this last weekend. Actually a bunch of times. I had planned to make a 4-wheel inflation/deflation system, but that ARB filled up each 37" tire from 9 to 25 pounds in, I'd say, less than 2 minutes each - maybe less. I gassed up and inflated my tires faster than a buddy gassed up his Grand Cherokee (V8 - needed lots of gas). I did this several times over the weekend.

The PowerTank is nice, but I don't have the time to fill one, especially since I don't hesitate to deflate/inflate based on conditions. .

Had the honor to be included in a terrific customers build and wanted to document it here to show some awesome products we used. This is still a work in progress but thought it would be fun to add pics as we go. Was going full steam ahead but had to take today to do another lift for some great folks that Jeep came in last night and their lease is due on Monday! Going to spend tomorrow trying to get caught up to where I’ll be part limited

Here’s a list of the mods off memory

Accutune fox 2.0 adj resi shocks
Metalcloak control arms
Warn winch mount for steel bunper group
Warn Zeon 10s with ultra link
AAL compressor and battery mount
AAL MASS platform
AAL fridge slide
AAL 6” drawer
Teraflex alpha tire carrier
Rokblokz mudflaps
ARB dual compressor with next venture fuel compartment airline (very slick)
Full Yeti steering
ARB 37qt fridge with bluetooth
Custom build rear shelf
20” feniex lightbar
Genesis dual battery
Borla s-type exhaust in black

I think that’s the bulk of it. Coming together great and the owners has excellent choices in mods!

Brett
Would the area vacated by the removal of the ESS battery be large enough to accommodate the ARB compressor?

I don’t think it would be a suitable place for it. It’s under the factory fuse box. Hard to beat the AAL solution or the one from JK innovations (I think)which puts it under the seat

There's also one from DV8 that mounts the twin behind the driver's front fenderwell, kind of below the master cylinder. It's hot in there, so I didn't want to preheat it much or expose it to the elements.

I wouldn’t suggest mounting it under the hood. Like mentioned, to hot and terrible conditions for a compressor.

Delivered Jeep to the owner today. This build had be banging my head against the wall and counting down till it went away. As I admired it in the parking lot, I genuinely felt sad it was going back home. I had spent so much time working on it over the past few weeks that I grew pretty fond of it. It’s been one of my favorite builds so far and has been exciting seeing it come together and then work perfectly together. The ride was phenomenal and really drove terrific too. Bought the owner some drinks for his fridge to try out once he got home!

That feniex light bar is awesome too!

On to the next one!

@rustyshakelford I got the light from Doug, started installing today. Where did you mount/install the AI controller? I’m struggling where to put it. Did you crimp eyelets on the end on power wires?
