As a new Jeeper I have a few questions about this:

- can you mount bicycles up there?
- is there a weight limit?
- are these racks mostly for containers or will they work with things like kayaks, canoes, etc??
- yes, you can carry bikes, all you'd need is a carrier. I recommend Rhino Rack's "Pioneer Thru Axle Bike Carrier" http://www.rhinorack.com/en-us/prod...ers/roof/pioneer-thru-axle-bike-carrier_43233
- we are still finalizing the weight limit. At this point we estimate over 800 LBS distributed static load. A final weight limit will be released when we launch the rack system.
- this high capacity roof rack system is great for holding most types of cargo. Some items like kayaks & tents may overhang the rack, but that's ok. This rack is sturdy, strong, and up to the task.

Adding to Mr Humble’s post, will this rack support a RTT?
Yes, this rack will absolutely support a RTT. We provide an incredibly strong mounting platform which will easily hold most popular RTT's and a couple occupants. No worries.

I had the short rack installed on my JLUR a few weeks ago and the rack is rock solid. I had it professionally installed (shout out to HCP4x4 in Denver) given my fear of drilling the hard top and the process was excellent. Great addition that has dramatically expanded the usefulness of the Jeep. Hurry up on the tire carrier!

How do you seal the holes so there's no leaking??? BTW I really like the looks. I'd probably be conservative and not put too much weight up there. Wouldn't want to be too top heavy.

We use a dual rubber gasket at each drill point. This approach has worked flawlessly in our rack systems for many years now.
Our static load (stationary) capacity is incredibly high, but we recommend a dynamic load (driving load) of 300 LBS max.
Adding any amount of weight to the roof effectively changes your center of gravity, and for that reason Maximus-3 urges everyone to drive with caution when carrying a roof top load.

I can verify after a 1000 mile trip this past week and driving 6 hours in the rain on the highway. I had no signs of water penetrating the Roof.

That’s great. How did you get your hands one one? I was told that they are not going to be available until after SEMA.

Just wondering if you can remove the top and mount the roof rack? Essentially driving without the hardtop but still able to have the roof rack on.
