What are the expectations for the Freedom Edition on the 2020 models?

Just cosmetic?

Sport S base model?

More off-road or comfort upgrades included?

Just like every other edition they've ever made, probably a spruced up Sport with rock rails. Probably different wheels, LSD rear, a decal here or there, and maybe a color limitations. If you're lucky maybe the dana 44.

Profit margin. I mostly expect FCA profit margin for any 'special edition'.

Although they are providing a bit more value in special editions lately. The Moab was a blatant attempt to unload excess inventory of slow-selling options (Mopar rock rails w/ step assist, mud tires, body-colored hard top, etc), but the Willys and Altitude are mostly comprised of options many folks would normally spec on a Sport S, at a slight discount even.
