Happy Friday Jeepers! I wanted to start a thread on our JLU on board air kit now that they are off of pre-order and in production/shipping.

For those of you who have watched our install video with Kevin and Brittany of Lite Brite on YouTube, the production version has some small, however significant changes that has made installation much quicker. The amount of plumbing/wiring that needs to be done on the installers end has been cut down since we're doing as much as we can prior to shipping the units.

Check out our JLU OBA product page for more details.

If you are going to travel off-road, you’re going to want to air down your tires. It lets your off-road tires do what they do best – conform to obstacles, grip terrain, and smooths out the ride. When it’s time to hit the highway, it’s time to air up. If you’re done searching for the nearest gas station with air after a long day on the trail, this setup has you covered!

This kit mounts the included twin Viair 444c compressors and 2.5 gallon air tank underneath your 2018+ V6 JLU. The compressor/tank combo boasts a 3.53 CFM rating, 100% duty cycle, 200 PSI working pressure, and an IP67 waterproof rating to boot. That means fast air, enough duty cycle to air up your friends tires after you’re done, ample PSI to operate air tools and re-seat tires, and no worrying about the occasional water crossing on the trail. Good for up to 40″ tires.

The skid plate that encloses this system mounts to 2 of the crossmembers under your JL as well as tying directly into the driver side frame rail to ensure your on board air setup is protected on the trail. The skid is laser cut, cnc formed, and hand welded in the USA from a combination of 3/16″ and 1/4″ steel. An aluminum heat shield is also included to keep things safe from your Jeeps exhaust.

*JLU Specific Installation kit (wiring harness and air tank fittings) is included*
Also included, but not shown: Remote inlet/air filter bracket (to keep the air compressor inlets high), relay and air regulator mounting brackets.
Installation and appearance may differ slightly from pre-production units shown in YouTube videos and in photos. Functionality is the same.
Installation of the skid is almost entirely bolt on; 1 additional hole is drilled for installation.

Mike,

The Sage/SFZ Air Command system can be added; but is not required. This can be wired into an SPOD or the Aux 3/Aux 4 switch in the JL. It can also be installed stand alone with a simple on/off switch that's included. The Aux switches are my favorite way to wire it up since that's the cleanest install.

Best,
-Dan
