I’m interested in what people are using for sand tires (and wheels).
In 1977 my first beach buggy was an IHC Scout ll.

I put a set of 15x8 white wagon wheels and BFG ‘Sport Truck’ radials that we’re 10.5x15’s.

The BFG’s had the same Y-block tread as the present day tires seen on street rods and hot rods everywhere.
Those ‘street treads’ were perfect beach tires.

So is there a modern day version of those tires that are available today?

Took a trip to the east coast to visit family.
Could not go completely topless, but was able to stash the doors for some beach time.

The whole idea of my build is to be a beach buggy. I don’t get to go that much since I’m land locked but at least it helps keep my motivation high.

Fast forward to 2018, our current Jeep a 2018 JLUR.
