Mine is MSRP to MSRP to include all fees, tax, tag, title etc. So unless you paid MSRP on the first one, you get the sale price plus the MSRP, then you also get whatever you have already paid off on your current vehicle. I did the math on mine and I'm better off doing the buy back vice the cash - plus I get to keep on driving it while I go through the process. the GSM at the dealer told me to let him worry about the MSRP of the new vehicle. No idea what that means, but OK - I'll play the game and order one should they not be able work something out with FCA.This whole process is confusing me. I have a buyback started, and stericycle said I can do a replacement or a straight buyback. If replacement order is placed it is straight MSRP. I Am not able to negotiate a better price (Like 6% below invoice) and must pay full MSRP with no rebate allowed. This would make any new order cost more than my 2019 as I did not pay MSRP. If I do a buyback and take a check it is faster, but then it is on me to go and make a new order. Is that really how it works where if I do a replacement order it is 100% MSRP to be paid, but if I take a refund I can then go and order whatever I want at the best rate I can get? I don't want to be without a Jeep all summer again, so really hoping to keep mine until my new one is in and that's why I was leaning to a replacement order. If I just take the cash, I will have to turn in my 2019 to get the check then will have to place a new order. Then will need to wait. If I do go that route I will 100% be getting a 2020, and that means I will be waiting longer. May have to buy a used LJ or JKU to get me by if that's the case.
The process seems a little less than clear to me, so I am hooping I misunderstood. With that said, Jeep (FCA) has been great to work with so far and I have no complaints from them. However time will tell about the Stericycle process. This is all new to me.
