I have a 2019 JL Sport, with the 3.6. I almost always read only 29-30 psi oil pressure, no matter what temp or RPM. My '97 TJ with 121K had 45 psi. Just sayin'; but WTF? It is just a little TOO stable, not to mention low. Is this an actual indication or a made-up, "don't-worry-about-it,-you stupid-customer," number by the PCM? Also, very occasionally, it will very quickly ramp up towards 60, then come back down in a second or two. What do you guys read for pressure? Thanks.

Mine is almost always at 29-30 psi also. I'm sure it's a "dampened" reading. Most factory gauges are so people dont bring them back because of fluctuation in the readings.

When it first starts or when the Start/Stop system fires up the engine. Mine will jump up higher (I may have seen 70psi or so) and settle back down.

It's a dual stage oil pump, if you go over 3000 RPMs it will go up to 70? psi.

Moving on up .....
Should jump up significantly when you raising RPMs when accelerating. then goes back down to 30 at a cruising speed.

I've always noticed it to but I've never been worried. It does spike when I get on it, but it's almost always 30psi. I'm wondering if the refresh rate is just to slow so we don't see all minor changes.

it is a dual stage but is it electronic? or mechnical. i do know that it runs at 30-31 psi from idle to 3000 rpm after that it jumps to about 70-73 psi. I have noted this in my manual as i was unsure of what was going on. I how ever havent figured out if its electronic or not
