Using the forum on a phone; Typing issues

A few others have mentioned issues as well.

I had issues with the mobile version AND viewing the forum as the non-mobile version on my phone. I'm on android. There are clearly issues with the text entry box and phones.

Autocorrect goes crazy. Making it extremely difficult to type.

Space acts as a letter often as well.

Can this be looked into?

I'm sure it's a systemwide forum issue and affecting all sites running on this xenforo software.

Yeah I think I recall reading you mention issues somewhere.

It isn't even autocorrect. The space button works as random shit half the time. Periods don't input.

It is garbage on a cellphone. In mobile AND desktop mode.

I did some research about this online regarding Xenforo forums.

Do you happen to use Swiftkey for your keyboard? Chrome?

Seems like Swiftkey keyboard is the issue on my end.

That seems to be the majority of complaints around the Xenforo forum platform and mobile typing issues.

Strange though - as it is specific to Xenforo forums, and nothing else.

Sounds like Swiftkey just hates Zenforo forums. lol

Unfortunately, this is a forum software issue and we're waiting on a possible fix from the Xenforo developers. In the meantime, if you switch to the basic (non rich text) editor, you should be able to avoid these issues.

To switch using the non-rich text editor, go to your Account Preferences and uncheck the "Use the rich text editor to create and edit messages" option (see screenshot below).

If anyone was experiencing typing issues with SwiftKey, it's been reported that the issue with Xenforo has been fixed in the latest SwiftKey version released this month.
