I removed the ad on the tire cover from the spare tire cover on an old jeep, but cannot remember what works best.

I searched google and found some articles on many different chemicals but have yet to try it. I’m going to wait until it warms up. Until then I’ll follow this thread :)

I tried the pictured paint thinner with no luck. I had heard varnish thinner would work, but not this one based on mineral spirits.
I then tried acetone with some success, but it evaporates quickly making the job difficult.

I it's silk screened sign paint then oven cleaner should do the trick.. I've used that to remove art from plastic motorcycle trunks, bags and such.

I used acetone, it work OK. Rag must be clean each time you wipe. You will be tempted to splash it on and work on a large area. I recommend working small areas at a time.

I painted over mine with a Black Matte vinyl paint. Worked great.

If your cover is vinyl or any kind of plastic, Acetone will "melt" it..... Not a good idea.

I just ditched the cover, living in a high humidity area I don’t need mold having a chance.
