When the JL's first released, I played around with the online configurator - decided my dream setup would be a white V6 Sport softtop, Dana 44 rear, Tow, Aux, Tint... and that's it. Couldn't quite justify it at the time, but always kept an eye out (which later turned into obsessively stalking west coast dealer inventories...)

Further lurking, especially a @Moto_21 post specifically showing a competent-yet-tastefully-restrained Sport (vs. the endless parade of Rubi's - I kid, I kid), only served to stoke the fire.

After a year and a half, I finally picked up The One set up exactly as I wanted it on Weds for an absolute steal. Had a chance to break it in today on some of my favorite local fire roads. What an amazing machine.

Funny, I did the same thing just with two less doors. Although I splurged on luxury options such as air conditioning and automatic transmission

V6, auto, soft top, A/C, tow package, LSD. Pretty much the cheapest one in NorCal when I got it.

Lil to no road noise from the tires . I’m really happy with them on the freeway and trails

My son gave me a drone and I will be in Colorado next month so I was out for my second flight with it last night.

Did you sand the top down to a smooth finish first? I’ve been interested in having this done. I’ve heard it’s a pain to prep for paint. I don’t have the skills/equipment to do it myself so unfortunately I’d have to have a body shop do it.
