Not a perfect match. A bit more plum in the color but it doesn’t trouble me. Blends well. If you are super ticky on a perfect match then you will be disappointed
We didn't produce the grab handles under discussion, but here are a couple of observations:Not a perfect match. A bit more plum in the color but it doesn’t trouble me. Blends well. If you are super ticky on a perfect match then you will be disappointed
All color surfaces, but particularly a pearl or metallic color, will reflect differently depending on the angle of viewing. Compare a flat area to a flat area, or a curved surface to a similar surface.
Unlike most people, we have the opportunity to have a number of factory Rubicon red parts in our shop at the same time. And there can be variation of 'color' within those parts. As you may know, there is variation of exterior colors on vehicles rolling off of the assembly lines. The need to match these variations is evident from a company like Glasurit , who could have a dozen or more formulas to match a specific factory color.
When we make custom steering wheels for a new or classic Rolls/Bentley, we strongly suggest that a wood piece from the car be sent to us for matching purposes. Obviously wood has a lot more variation than a solid color. But owners and even dealers will think that a knowing the vin or the type of wood is sufficient to matching the interior trim.
