Anyone have this installed and a review of their performance? I'd love to level out my Jeep (positive rake due to steel bumper and winch). I've heard good things about the AEV spacer on JKs...

Thanks in advance!

We installed the AEV 2 in spacer lift along with a set of AEV Savegre’s with Ridge Grapplers 37x12.5-17’s over the weekend. Here are the results. The spare is a 37 and weighs 102lbs.

Wow, looks Awesome!!! I was thinking of ordering this too. Was it hard to install? Do you think it can be done with a jack and jack stands?

Also Brian, do you have full articulation with the 37’s? They are 17” rims? Any downside to the 37’s?

The kit comes with 2 inch spacers. With the 37” Ridge Grapplers that measure a true 36” the only contact is behind the rear wheel on the plastic that can be molded with a heat gun. I tried to climb a 42” tire and stopped when the rear wheel came off the ground. The AEV wheels tuck into the fender. With a different offset you might need more bump stop.

Side view? See how tucked in you are... using spacers?

Just seeing this. Thanks a lot Brian! Climbing that tire is pretty cool!

I ended up going with a Teraflex 2.5”

This is what I want to know, also. I want this kit but don’t want the way my Jeep drives and handles to change.

The Jeep drives great. Since the kit keeps the OEM suspension not much has changed. We did go with AEV wheels which widened the stance slightly and also added the Mopar longer control arms to bring the caster To 5.35. The Jeep drives well at 75-85mph on the highway and there drives like factory on the rough city streets of Baltimore.

We were at Rausch Creek and were able to flex it out with no issues.

Thanks for all the responses, Brian. I installed this lift last week and you were right, it’s nice. Especially for the money. After seeing your post I also ordered the Mopar lift control arms and installed them. Lift was an easy install, just time consuming. I went with 35 KO2 BFG’s. Very happy.

I have the AEV spacer and brackets waiting to get installed in my garage. What made you go with the mopar CAs? Am I missing a unanticipated mod??

They were substantially cheaper than the brackets, are factory parts, and don’t reduce ground clearance. Control arm drop brackets work fine, too, they accomplish the same goal. The Mopar extended length control arms are only $60ish for both, though.
