My 2019 2D Sport JL has bolt holes on each side of the roll bar in the rear.

Any one know what they are far?

Same threaded holes are on the 2018. I saw those and immediately thought “great mounting location,” but not quite sure what would work there. It would be nice to see an interior mount for a HiLift jack, like available for the JLU.

Are you talking about the hole at the top of the roll bar? That I mounted the fire extinguisher to?

@TJ2018; what bolt fits there? I have a use for that location if I knew what bolt to buy...

It wasn't threaded, I had to tap it before installing the bolt. I don't recall the tap or bolt size but I 'might' still have the instructions at home with this info... will update this post once I can check.

There’s two outboard threaded holes on each side. It would be fun to know why, but even better if a useful aftermarket part could attach here.

On the 2dr soft top the hindges are mounted on the outside because of the location of the rear seat. Because the hindge is mounted outboard you can not drop the rails on a 2dr. Still would like to know what the other hole is for

Ah...thanks! That makes sense. I kept looking at mine and thinking that there was no way those were threaded...guess I’m not an idiot after all... :like:

They are for the soft top mounting bracket. The best aftermarket parts you could buy to use them is the soft top.

If you follow the roll bar down under the trim there is another unthreaded hole on the back side. I found that while doing some exploratory trim removal on the passenger side. I'd love to Jeep's purpose for it. Seems tough to get to under the trim like that and I haven't seen a soft top engage to top hole.

I used mine to mount a bar and used that mount some auxiliary lights.

Those threaded holes are there so when they are being painted at the factory the Jeep could be held up in air and rotated

What fire extinguisher mount is that? Any rattles? It looks pretty good.
