I decided to go with these due to this thread. Looking for protection from flying rocks but don’t like the way steps look. Very pleased with how they look and how they are made.
They look great! Do you have the part number for the two door version? I need to place an order myself. Thanks!

Thank you. This information saves me the worry and money. Will do it on my own.
Install was a breeze. If doing install alone, center your body on the rail (while sitting on the ground... put rail in your lap). Align rail on pinch seem holes and slide into place horizontally. Then hand tighten the pinch seem bolts. Once done, crawl under and insert/tighten the frame bolts. Finish by torquing them all down.

Yup, exactly what I did. 1 person installation is really pretty easy.

Thanks for all the pictures! I may be a little late to the party but would you happen to have the part numbers? How difficult was the install?

now that you have had them for awhile. Do they help with the rock hitting the side of the Jeep quarter panel? thats the only reason I'm looking to get these myself.

I don't think they are worthless... I know they are worthless. If you want to use these as step, they work great as just that. They WILL not support anything other than your body weight getting in and out of this thing...

This terrifies me. Do you have a picture of what you were hung up on? I just put these on and would hate to go through the brain damage of selling them and going another route.

I also don't really see the point of upgrading from the Rubicon stock sliders to these thicker ones, when they both bolt onto the body.

But, if you're looking for a tough step, check out the GoRhino Dominator D6. They have:

a) A steel slider underneath equally as tough as the Rubicons.
b) Wide step.
c) Optional bolt-on drop steps that can be removed when you go offroading.

I'll make another post with more details here.

Hey JD - Your Jeep looks awesome! What make of wheels did you go with and what size tire are you running? You running the Fox shocks also? What's your take on them?

Imagine what the rocker would have looked like without that rail. I would classify these rails and the stock rubi rails for mild to medium rock conditions. If you are an extreme rocker crawler, find the right rail for that wheeling (example: Ace Engineering).

Bit of a different spin on this thread. I installed my Mopar Performance Rails this weekend - love how they look. But in my apparent paranoia about them coming a bit loose, I over-torqued one of the 6 bolts that go "sideways" on each of the rails and snapped the damn things. So, for those familiar, for each of my rails the three bolts that go vertical "up" into the underside of the Jeep are very secure, and 5 of the 6 smaller bolts that go "horizontal" are very secure. Both rails feel extremely secure, but is there anything I need to be worried about? Like an issue with the pinch seam for the other horizontal bolts that might be too tight? Or that the rails will have an issue due to the missing bolt on each side? Appreciate any insight from those who have these on their Jeeps.

There are the bolts that fit up into the body at each of the three locations (vertical as you say), so you do have other support besides the (horizontal as you say) pinch seam bolts. The pinch seam will be fine either way as base Sports don't have anything on the pinch seams at all so a missing bolt won't matter.

I think you'll be fine. Is it driver or passenger?

Curious as to what people are paying for these. My dealer is selling them for $925. Asked them if I could use the 15% Mopar coupon and they said I could but I would have to have the dealer install them to use the coupon. Dealer charges $325 to install, which seems ridiculous.
