Yeah, I was looking at that one and 4WP has a cheap one that clips into the fairlead. but if I don't have to run with it I'll just save my $20 for something else :like:!
A front plate is required by law. But I never put one on my wife's VW, and haven't had any issues yet.

So Quick question for the CO people's. Do you have to run a front plate? I've seen so many jeeps without them displayed anywhere. For a while I ran with it on my windshield while I'm trying to figure out how I want to mount it with the winch. However, as of recently I just have it stuffed above the visor.
A front plate is required. Most times they will not pull you over for it though, but they can.

I had a flip plate that you mount on your fairlead. I can't use it anymore with the Factor 55 bits though.

I've been wheeling for 20 years I don't care if you are new or not there is plenty to do and lots to teach and learn!!
Probably a bit if a Newbie thing to do but I’ll be doing a off-road 101 class with Peak to Peak trail guides. I’m somewhat new to CO and to wheeling with a Jeep, so I figured I’d learn the capabilities of the Jeep and build my confidence with driving on the trails.

I haven't run a front plate since I was stationed here in 07, been pulled over my fair share no issues they don't say anything might be because I have a Purple Heart plate too!

I honestly don't mind putting it on I will order the removable holder sometime soon, I've been pulled over many times before in other states that have dual plates for no other reason than not having a front plate displayed. My previous vehicle was registered in OK and they don't have front plates. Your plate comment gave me a chuckle (thank you for your sacrifices) I don't get pulled over a lot for traffic infractions, I do keep my flight cap on my dash about 90% of time and over the past 18 yrs it's saved my butt a few times!
@Kronder, I appreciate the offer on your flip up mount but I think I'm more interested in the removable bracket.>

I run a front plate using bracket from JCR Offroad that is simple and easy to attach

My Warn winch mounting stuff came with a front plate holder than angles the plate back. Really like it.

anyone wheeling this weekend coming? I'd be down if my jeep is out of the dealership..
I could meet Sunday, somewhere out on 285. I will be coming back from camping and rafting in Buena Vista and would be down to hit a trail.

Been in Colo all my life and been pulled over several times for no front plate, each time in a different vehicle.

I just run it, no reason to give 'em PC.

Cops have a hard job but I still make it my policy to minimize law enforcement contact whenever possible. Blend in, stay under the radar.

Did no one learn anything from Pulp Fiction when Mr Wolf wanted to know if the car had any problems that might draw attention? ;)

DAMMIT! I had no idea that was going on.

Oh well, spend that day on the trails around Rollinsville. No not a huge loss.
