Question for the gang:

As I recently completed the MC GC 3.5 on both of our Jeeps, I noticed that the exhaust is routed differently on the 2.0, as to NOT interfere with the front driveshaft. I was assuming to have to buy 2 new DS’. Looks like the only possible hit is the crossmember, but I didn’t see any issue during the install at full droop. Can anyone weigh in please? Posting a pic of both 3.6 & 2.0.
Thanks crew!

I didn’t notice mine rubbing or hitting the exhaust, however, it does get close . I’m only 26-5/8 inch extended on my fox shocks, your probably 28 ish if you’re running falcon 3.3s. I switched my driveshaft out anyway I just didn’t want to chance it. I’ll be changing to a longer shock eventually so I didn’t want to worry over it.

The 2.0 being inline wont have a y pipe like the v6 does providing more clearance. You will need a new front driveshaft if your shock shocks extend past the 28” mark. It will come in contact with the small crossmember. The aftermarket shaft will run that crossmember as well at full droop if you use MC’s shocks or anything in that 30” range but engine trans skid will remedy that because most get rid of the small one. It’s only on the auto trans equipped Jeeps as a skid for the trans pan, manuals like your 3.6 don’t see it

So, it sounds like I will need one on both, as the rock shocks hit 30, I think. Thanks for helping to confirm the crossmember!!

I haven’t yet, I’m actually waiting for my shocks to come in before I cut since I’m just running the adventure arms. I never even thought to check my buddies Jeep with the MC kit if they touch or not. MC runs their arms backwards in compared to RK so the nut is frame side
Hopefully UPS fixes the truck and I see the shocks this coming week and I’ll let ya know haha

No problem!
My buddy sent me this after he seen it and was concerned. At full droop with the MC shocks it hits the crossmember

You don’t have to cut for jamb nut clearance since it’s on the frame side as mentioned with the MC lifts

Thanks for more info. As Brett mentions, MC runs the jamb nut on the frame side, so 1 less issue there.:fist bump:
