The people that freak out about driving with the windshield down a speed make me wonder what they do to a motorcyclist that’s riding no helmet... lol

There was a post the other day in a FB Jeep group, retired police officer got pulled over for no doors. After explaining to the new police officer that it wasn’t illegal to run doorless in his state, the cop went on to say how unsafe it is because a deer could run out and jump in his back seat while driving... so bird to the face while windshield down, or deer in the back seat while doorless, I should probably just park the Jeep and stay home

This windshield down driving sounds dangerous. Next nice day going to have to try it. It sounds almost as dangerous as 170+ on a motorcycle, or 100+ down snowmobile trails.

Too late! I got a screen shot of it. What is posted on jlwranglerforums is a binding contract. That love nest on wheels is as good as mine!

She will be able to afford a new one. She would be buying a big horse trailer, a riding arena and an F350 truck.

As for legality, that'll vary by jurisdiction - here, Ontario - Windshields are not required, but windshield wipers are. I believe they phrase it as a "mechanism for clearing the windshield".

With it folded, I argue my sunglasses become the windshield, and my mechanism for clearing them is my finger-wipers.

Finally got around to doing this. Not very practical as it actually limits visibility but it looks cool and pays homage to the WWII Jeeps. (And I plan to only drive slowly on back country roads…no bugs or rocks in my teeth please!)
