Does anyone know when AEV is going to release their lift for the 2 door? I’m trying to decide between Rock Krawler, Metalcloak, and AEV for a lift for my 2 door JL and I think I’ve decided on AEV but there’s no mention of when they plan on releasing the lift.

I'm also waiting for the 2-door lift. I was at Overland Expo West this past weekend and chatted with one of the guys working the AEV booth. He was an engineer and not in sales, but almost sounded surprised that it wasn't already available. His words were "should be any day now."

So he either had no idea because it's not his department, or its really close to happening.

Thanks for the reply, I’ll keep checking their site. Seems to be the best deal as it includes the ECU cal and 5100s and it’s one of the best riding kits. Plus $1300 seems like a good price to me for it.

It looks like it's up now. The website doesn't show out of stock or coming soon like it used to

Be aware, that 2.5" is based on a Rubicon, you will most likely wind up closer to 3.5" on a Sport. I wanted to go with AEV, but I think 34-35" tires might look a tad small. I believe the JL Sports AEV had at SEMA were on 37s.

I agree, i talked to aev and he said 3” or less and i have a little weight on my JL.

But they have 37s and rubicon fenders. So 35s and sport fenders should almost look the same visually for gap/clearance etc.

The 4 door was a sport. AEV's 2 door is a Rubicon.

The lift is on and works well.

Quick summary after two drives, its stiffer than the jlur suspension. Drives better id say overall. Steering seems a little more responsive and drives more car ish.

Things to consider, it is stiff. Meant for American EXPEDITION vehicles, mine isn’t all that heavy, so I probably got 3-3.5” of lift.
Id say you need a front track bar as my axle is 7/8” off center. And the procal didnt work for me at all, will have to call AEV monday.

Need to get some more shots testing tomorrow

Getting into overlanding and mostly a hiking person so far. With the roof top tent, fridge and gear for wife and two kids..... I def need stiffer suspension. My concern is I don’t want this lift to be too tall with Just 35’s when I’m not loaded for a trip. I have pretty heavy steel smitty bumpers for front and back already.

Would a non rubicon Jeep (like mine listed above), still likely be getting closer to a 3.5”+ lift when unloaded?

I was looking at the dynatrac and pretty well sold untilI read concerns with weight.
