Been averaging about 20MPG and about 4 tanks in. Also very happy with this engine!

Wow... 13 is insanely low. I picked mine up a few weeks ago. I have 650 miles on it and am averaging 24.5 miles per gallon with 87 Octane. And I live in the mountains.

I'm still averaging great MPG's. I've been driving a fullsize truck on 37's that weighs close to 8100lbs for the past couple of years. i'm honestly nervous about putting 37's on the Jeep now, lololol. But I'll live. :)

I’ve got 9k miles on my 2.0 Rubicon JLU. So far best tank has been 18.9mpg and I’m running 315/70/17 KO2’s. Dash reads 19.9.
Not bad at all. I’ll take it. I pump 93 all the time. Get about 350 miles out of each tank.

Did some towing of SXS and AL trialer (~2500lbs). I got about 14.5mpg at around 65mph on the to trip. Auto trans never seemed to get to 8th gear. On the return I bumped the speed up to ~70mph to get into 8th gear and mileage jumped up ~1.5mpg. Guess I will be towing faster in the future.

11,000 miles and averaging 20.3 mpg despite putting my 2.0 though its paces: 75 to 80 mph on highways, combined with some dense city traffic and steep mountain roads. Very pleased with consumption all things considered!

As others have mentioned, mpg have been steadily improving: from 18 and change when I took delivery last August to the low 20s now. Not sure if my driving has changed or if my JLR’s performance is improving - but either way, it’s working!

My 2018 2.0 with 28000 miles average about 24. Very early in my 2020 2.0 (300 miles) averaging about 18... hopefully it improves!

1300 Miles and getting 21, that is 50/50 city/highway. All stock on 91.

I have a 2018 JLUR, 2.0 with stock suspension and tires, steel bumpers, and winch(just added less than 100 miles ago)

After 1300 miles, ~600 highway the rest city, I’m averaging 13.4 MPG! (calculated by the Jeep) One of the main reasons I chose the 2.0 was for the fuel economy but this seems like a 3.6L average. No, I didn’t expect the stickered 22-24 but I did expect it to be in the high teens and maybe over 20 on the highway.

What are you averaging? Thanks!
When I tow my bass boat..... 8mpg LOL!

I don't mind, because my Tundra was the same, but normally I am getting around 14-15mpg. I liked the engine better than the 3.6L though, so the gas mileage wasn't the deciding factor for me, but those who did make that choice may be disappointed for sure.

This was my primary reason for getting the 2.0 as well.

My buying went like this:
Test drive 4runner, very disappointed with it's power.
Test drive JL 2.0t, liked the power delivery a lot, the interior was also way nicer than the 4runner.
Test drive JL 3.6, not as bad as the 4runner, but felt really heavy.

I wouldn't be surprised if the 2.0t could dip into 14s in a quarter mile. I know that's not the point of them, but its nice being able to hang with/out run most cars out there.
I traded a 2018 4Runner limited on mine, and I totally agree with all of your statements! Very good analysis!

I will say this, the local Jeep outfitter says the same thing I felt in the seat of my pants. When I added the lift and 35s, it didn't really make any noticeable difference on power. When you add to the 3.6L they say you will want to add a turbo.

I am sure the larger tires are not helping my mileage either...

Admittedly, we've only had the Jeep for a Phoenix summer, and it only gets city driven so far, and it sits idling with AC on waiting to pick up the kids from school, but the wife is averaging 17 mpg. I was hoping for at least 20. But it is quick!

Last weekend was our worst mileage to date at 16mpg. Not bad considering most of it was spent at 9,000-11,000 feet on trails, some in 4 lo. We only have 2k miles on it so far but have averaged about 19mpg. The most impressive thing about this jeep is the on road performance, windy mountain roads at altitude and she still pulls hard. I'm used to my older jeeps using turn outs on the way up mountain passes, so glad those days are gone.
