What do you get for mileage with 35’s
I don't often pay mind to the mileage. It's a Jeep, not a Prius. I knew what I was getting into. That being said, I'm up about 3mpg with the 35s. I saw 18.9 after a reset the other day. My jaw kinda dropped. I'm usually in the low 15s...
Side note, installed JKS Quicker Disconnects last week. Crazy.

I am a noob too. Your Rubi wheels are 7.5-inches wide. A 35-inch tire (or a 315) typically has a minimum rim spec of 8-inches or even 8.5 inches. I have seen one 35x11-inch tire that is reportedly in spec for a 7.5-inch rim. It’s a Nitto mud tire as I recall.

That said, people DO mount 35s on the factory rims. Many shops won’t mount them though as this config is normally ‘out of spec’.........
Possibly, but NTB installed 35s on my Sport S Granite painted wheels. They just don't have enough offset, so you need spacers. No biggie. I

Looks nice!

I am surprised that NTB mounted these but, that’s good info..... thanks. The spacer makes sense.... a spacer that size puts the inner sidewall of the new tire about in the same position as the stock 245s.

Here’s what a RE 2.5 lift (shocks, springs, control arm, sway bar extensions) looks like on 275/70/18 M/T’s. Still getting just under factory mpg and the ride is better than before the lift.

Did you keep the 18inch factory rims?

I did, I like the tiny Jeeps on them. Had to go with 1 3/4 spacers to clear the lift.

Not yet but I will be haha got too wrapped up in ordering a bunch of other miscellaneous crap haha
I have this set up on my sport, and offroad the Falcon 2.1 shocks are great. Stable, supportive, and controlled. The shocks Have decent among of travel. A little bit on the firm side on the pavement. Lower the tire pressure 2 psi helps a lot. Combine with Rubicon take off springs. I have a total gain of 2.5" in the front and 2" in the rear. A perfect height for me. Plan on having a set of 34" (285/75R17) in the near future. Almost as tall as 315/70R17 but skinny enough to get by without new wheels or spacers.

Are you running a 315 for a spare also? I have the suspension going on this week and hoping to swap out for the 315's myself (though, my old back needs a C Ply) I dont have either an extension or a support. Curious if you needed either or both or if you have yet to change out your spare. I went by my shop today and it seemed it would be super tight if it does fit.

I dont like to not have a same size spare - but thinking I'll need a test fit to see if it would fit with out raising it up off tailgate?

Stock rims, granite painted.

Both pics 35s

Mopar 2" went on today... Not sure why it's called that since it delivered more like 3.5". Rides well with the limited driving I was able to do once I picked up (I had installed at my local dealer) - What I can say is that I had the 2" Mopar on my JK and now that I have done the same to the JL, the kit is considerably taller then the older version.

The proportions of a 33" on 16 wheels on the JK looked right.... Honestly, the 33" on a 17 isn't terrible since I already had addressed the stance with my wheel offset -- but the vacant well space is notably greater on the JL. I did budget for a tire swap which I plan to do since I would agree that the proportions will be better on a 35". However, the Sahara or non-high line fender + an altered stance via after market wheel or spacer would work for a bit if I had not been able to move on the tire at the same time.

I'll snap some photos tomorrow before I swap out with some 315's.

33’s lasted less then 24 hours. The Mopar lift is pretty dang tall - For me, more than I liked for both the 33” height as well as the 285 footprint. I do like pizza cutters historically so had they been a taller narrow it would be different. That said, the 315/70/17 in a C ply KO2 ride like butter~ The below photos are foggy morning with 33’s followed by afternoon with 35’s

This thread was super helpful - so hope that these photos will help others with their choices~

Agree - If you have standard fenders (Non High line) and you have widened the stance with wheel offset, than it does look sharp and of course offers PLENTY of space to articulate.

In my view the 35's do fill the well space a lot more proportionately. However, one byproduct of the 35's that I haven't heard many talking about is that the braking is notably softer and requires greater pressure for stopping. It is not terrible by any stretch, but noteworthy. I suspect when brakes need replacing, I will upgrade to the bigger braking system.

BTW, love the black satin grill on your Sting gray - That is on my list of upgrades~

285/70/17 with 2” mopar lift. Looks awesome and doesn’t affect road manners. Plenty capable off road

I just picked up a 19 JLU Rubicon. I’m grabbing an RE spacer lift from a guy for $250 today. I want to keep stock rims but move to 35’s...am I understanding properly that I will need spacers or is that for non-Rubi models?
