its like $70 something for several years. no test, just register and fill out the application. I don't know if its a watt requirement that is the break over between the base station and little handhelds for the "license"

brett
10 years. 2 watts is the power limit for not having a license but I’ve read about police monitoring channels and asking for licenses regardless of power. Don’t know how true that is. Midland has a good page of info:

https://midlandusa.com/why-do-i-need-a-gmrs-license-how-do-i-get-it/

To get a license:

https://wireless2.fcc.gov/UlsEntry/licManager/login.jsp

My club uses CB and GMRS. I just have a handheld CB but it’s worked perfect so far since our trail rides have everyone close together. I got an external Firestik to use with it but I need to get it setup. I may go ahead and get a couple GMRS radios since some are fairly cheap.

I ordered my flag decals from pixeldecals today. I rotated the tires and added my 1.5" spacers and black lugnuts. I also tried my homemade jig for pulling the hardtop, so now I can do it myself. I am happy with all the changes and the jig

Where'd you get your black lug nuts? I looked for a while and read a lot of complaints that they scratch really easily so I ended up getting covers instead. Would prefer black lug nuts if I could find some really resilient ones.

Put some construction tape up, because it’s going under construction again!!!! Went and saw Jimmy and the boys @ Dedona 4x4 and they ordered me a Rebel off-road recon king-coil over set up. She ain’t sitting high enough. Let the tear down begin, hope it comes quick so we can get the hoops off to powder coat.

Was planning to put in a dead pedal that wasn't $California and require Shiva's arms this weekend.

Ended up having to refund it because it was the 1st package that was "lost" from Amazon. I don't know what is up with them, but holy hell in the last 5 years their delivery service has gone to poo.

Guess my son and I will have to settle for giving the Jeep it's first bath instead of our 1st tinker.

Wife did "ok" the idea of getting a dual Alienshade.

Nice!!! Just wondering - is that a functional vent on the passenger side nearest the cowl? Could be useful for CAI...

I didn't do anything to it today because I'm in another state. But I did email White Knuckle Offroad inquiring about their sliders for the JLU. I really like the design of the their frame mounted sliders but I don't want them angled at 45* or to be completely flat. So I asked if they can be ordered with a 20* angle as a good compromise between the two. Fingers crossed they say yes, and they won't charge an additional fee.

Yes, three functional perspectives. the front vent is plumbed to the air box, the sides and rear of the top square are open to the hood, so venting for heat at slow speeds. Then the vents at the rear, air coming in radiator area can leave out those vents at higher speeds.

Funny I just realized the other day that those spots were perfect to cut open and access the hooks, and even if something spilled it wouldn’t get over the ridge! Thanks for sharing this.
