LOL I knew it was from FL before even looking at the plate. GAWD those wheels are terrible.
Hey, doesn't that first picture make you want to weld some tubing to the floor just behind the back seat as a flagpole receptacle?

Spare shows 20", but they look bigger for some reason
Well isn't a larger wheel and minimal sidewall a necessity when you're drifting in your new jl rubicon? The last thing you would want is more sidewall flex when you're coming out of the apex sideways at 32 mph. I mean, what else is a rubicon made for?

Looks great Jay!

Have you tried inquiring w/ different Jeep Dealership about the install of your lift? Would think they would have someone trained or experienced w/ installing lifts?

.

My dealer charges dumb prices for aftermarket stuff. Actually just heard from a friendly fellow forum member who may be able to help out.

I almost just spit up all over my keyboard.... because you're so right! I moved from Arizona last Aug and the Jeeps out here especially on the on the SE Coast were a huge culture shock. I mean we have mall crawlers in Scottsdale, but the Miami-Dade County area does it with a style all their own. I personally call them "Havana Nights" Jeeps.

Saw these pics of Trail Jeeps from IG:

Why do these vendors make these things happen so quickly. I know I'll eventually end up with coilovers(when rear mounts become available), but salivating over them now when I don't even have my JL yet is a problem....

Very Nice, Jay!

Do you have any inkling that some backspacing might be required with those stock wheels?

Have you thought about doing that lift yourself (with a helper, of course)? I installed the 2.5” AEV lift on my JK on the ground, without a lift, without any trouble. You need two floor jacks and two jack stands. The second jack is to manage the axle geometry while reassembling.

You, sir, are braver than I am. Also, I have a two year old and a one year old. So getting an entire free day to do something like that in the garage is a pipe dream at this point. I can't even take a $hit in peace by myself around here. Haha!

As far as wheel back spacing is concerned, I think once the lift is on, I'm gonna go with aftermarket wheels with less backspacing. Just seems like it would help with stability as you move the center of gravity upward.
