Finally getting around to making a build thread. I got this jl back in October and finally able to start doing mods. Came from a 2013 JK

Wheels and tires just came, toxic shok wheels 17x9 with kanati trail hogs. I figured this time around I’d go with more of an all terrain since mud tires suck in the light snow. The chrome inserts are going to be painted orange when I get around to it.

Got the hard top hoist setup in the garage. Also first time stripping the Jeep down. I really love how they got rid of the padding on the roll bars. Don’t have to worry about it fading anymore.

Just got done installing the Rock Krawler 3.5 adventure series lift. I’ll say the install seemed to be a little more of a pain in the ass compared to the one I did on my jk. Overall I’m really happy with how it sits. I wish I took measurements before I started to see what I actually got out of the kit. Only thing left to install is the front lower control arms but they’re being painted right now.

Took it out for a quick road test and I’m actually surprised how nice it feels. Slightly softer ride than stock. I was expecting a stiffer ride since that’s what happened in my jk, however the jk had a much taller lift so I’m sure that didn’t help. Also I kind fee like the height of the jl is very close to the height of my jk with a 4.5 and 37s. The jl has 35s.

Now I gotta clean up the garage since there’s tools and crap everywhere!!

Started to color match things. Working on the wheel inserts. I will say the mopar touch up paint really sucks to work with!!! These little cans don’t get very far either.

Would you be willing to take measurements now? I have a stock sport and I don't want to go over 35s and I wasn't sure about the lift height I should go. I like the way yours sits and would like to know how high the front fenders sit (top of arch) and how high the bottom of the front door sits. Thanks. Also, I have never lifted anything myself so I am kind of in new territory. My TJ was lifted when I got it and my truck was just leveled on the front so I am really new to the lifting thing and don't want to go overboard.

I just realized that I wrote 3.5 instead of 2.5 for the lift. I can get you measurements when I get a chance.

When I did the lift I I disconnected the shocks, swaybars, track bar on one axle at a time. Then jacked up one side at a time and swapped the spring. Fairly easy to do.

Thank you!! I’ve gotta get a picture but the company actually sent me new center caps that I was able to paint also. They came out awesome.
