LTE Hotspot on Verizon instead of AT&T?

I just got my 2019 JLUR on Friday. It has the 4G/LTE hotspot option. I see where that can be activated on AT&T. Is there any way to use Verizon instead? Has anyone been able to do so, as an additional device on an existing shared data plan?

AT&T and Verizon use different technologies. So Verizon isn't compatible. T-Mobile uses the same technology as AT&T but I suspect since FCA has a partnership with At&t it's probably locked to them.

Understood. Was hoping the unit may have all the relevant LTE bands, and be easy to switch over to another carrier, but that was too much optimism on my part.

I actually have the Hum+, in my truck. I was hoping to disconnect it and replace that line of service with the Jeep hotspot. But you have proposed a good idea, if I just swap it to the HumX which includes the hotspot feature. Thanks!

How many of you actually turned it on? In a world of almost unlimited data, I would think a hotspot in our Wranglers is kind of a waste of money.
