Red Dash Trim Damaged

Hello all. I am new to the forum. I just picked up my 19 Rubicon in bright white. The red dash trim panel on the passenger side has crease in it. I brought I back to the dealer and they are telling my that the part is on back order without any release date. Also the replacement part only comes primed and has to be painted to match. Does anyone know if they are correct ? That just doesn’t sound right that the part isn’t color matched. Any information would be helpful. Thank you.

You could always try a different dealer and see what they say. Can you show a picture of it?

Pretty common complaint with Rubicons. I know a guy who has been fighting tooth and nail to have it replaced under warranty but keeps getting push-back from FCA, not the dealer.

Mopar part number 6AB28SRRAD? Says it comes red.

Did you notice the crease before buying it/driving it off the lot? You probably could’ve had them swap that out with another Rubi before taking delivery. You might’ve had to wait for the next day or something but chances are to make a sell, they would’ve swapped it out.

It comes red. Video posted to YouTube and linked here on forum for removing dash and installing. Looks like a major PITA. Make the dealer fix it.

There is definitely a red dash panel available from Mopar. You can order it in Gray, Red, or the Black Vinyl with contrast stitch. My dash had some scuff marks around the air vent bezels and the dealer is working with customer cares to get it resolved.

Looks like the red ones are $200.

They both say "passenger", I don't find any that say driver so not sure if they are one or both sides, but seems like only the passenger based on the description and picture.

Your dealer sounds clueless! I ordered the red ones for my Mojito Jeep and installed them. They come in red and the passenger side part number is:
6AB28SRRAD
