On a slightly unrelated note, and not JL related, but here's me sitting passenger while RESQ1 (some of you may know this build) tackles Widow Maker on Metal Masher in Moab, UT. The long wheelbase is like cheating, but admittingly it did take a couple of attempts

Welcome, glad to see Discount Tire here. Currently all my vehicles have tires from my local Discount Tire store. Customer service is the main reason, as it has been outstanding! How were the breakover & departure angles throughout your RESQ1 ride? I'm considering a JT Gladiator which will have similar drawbacks compared to a JLU.

On topic, like other posters, I'm a loyal Discount Tire customer ... past 5+ sets of tires. My wife's Durango recently had a screw in a rear tire. These are still factory tires. Our local Discount Tire fixed the tire & rotated them for free ... despite the fact that they were factory tires. Great customer service!

The Gladiator will be smaller than the RESQ1 and it will be much lighter. RESQ1 looks great and is awesome as a support vehicle but it is too long and pretty heavy for extreme rock crawling although as you can see we put it on some very tough trails.

We have seen some videos of the Gladiator in action and it seems to do well. I'm sure it will work well for you but will take some getting used to.

I have a lot of respect for Discount Tire. Aside from standing out in the freezing cold to air up tires when the first cold snap hits our local dealer went above and beyond with my neighbor. She's an elderly widow who had a tire low light one morning while out. She called Discount Tire and they sent someone out from a busy shop to see if it was flat or low. Aired the tire, took it back to the shop, and patched the tire. When she told me about it she said that they didn't even charge her and added; "So I made them some cookies." Ha! So no sale that day but because you guys care more about safety you've got my business. See you in about 10K for some new rubber on the Jeep.

I was a customer of Discount Tire before I started working here over 14 years ago. Discount Tire treated me right every time I went into one of the stores and they helped me in a pinch more than once.

Now that I work here I can tell you that internally, this company is no different than the way it appears in our stores and we all work very hard to do what's right for our customers.
