Mine is sitting right now on C rated 315 KO2's. Btw, the load rating doesn't really measure plys. Radial tires don't really work that way. The E rated 315 KO2 only weighs 1/2 pound more than the C. It isn't as different as ply ratings would suggest. The 315's come in C and E. There is no D in that size. The 35x12x17 only comes in E, I believe.
My dealer was telling me he did not recommend c rating 315 ko2's due to increased side wall. to easy to puncture? he also said the ywould not put 35's/315's on the stock rubi wheel with 7.5 in width, had to buy 8in minimum width..

That's up to him. MANY, MANY JK owners have been running 35x12.5x17's and 315x70x17's on stock 7.5 inch rims without issue. Also, BFG strengthened the sidewalls on the KO2 substantially, not only in construction, but in materials and design of the tread on the sides. Also, the E rated version only weighs 1/2 pound more. That wouldn't equate to a greatly stronger sidewall than the C version. BFG claims they are substantially improved in resistance to side wall punctures, compared to the KO.

C rated tires were tested extensively on the Rubicon Trail and all over the place on the prototype JL's. I'm betting they held up rather well. Time will tell, though. I'm going to take them to Moab, hopefully in October.

The E rated would be too rough for daily driver wouldnt they?

Honestly, They should be stiffer, but I suspec they'd not feel that different. Again, the weight difference is only 1/2 pound. The C's don't feel as soft as the 33's. I'd be surprised if the E rated tires feel much stiffer, other than having more air pressure in them. No reason you couldn't run them at the same pressure, though.

Those wheels are hideous:puke::puke:
no doubt, just posted it for those wondering what the overall size of a 35" tire and 2" lift look like on a Sahara... looks like its a coastal jeep, not a central Florida wheeling Jeep. ;)
