Your dealer should not have to be notified. I took mine in to my dealer on Monday and showed them the videos I had taken. They did not know about the problem but as soon as the service tech checked their computer the STAR bulletin popped right up which recommended a cold soak outdoors. They kept the Jeep overnight outside in the cold to try replicate the problem but the dash did not do it the next morning. They then applied the TSB and flashed the software. Weather is warming up here now so I might have to wait until next winter to see if the problem is solved.

I have my 2019 JLUR back. (I am definitely not a Jeep Compass type of person, great that it was a loaner.. but.)

The dealer flashed the IPC with the recommended software update late yesterday and called me to pick it up shortly after noon today.

Overnight temperatures for the next five days here will be 20,23,30,18,& 19 degrees F.; so it will be a good test of the software update.

Thanks to everyone who has posted on this issue; I believe the information helped speed up a more appropriate solution than replacement of the board.

I will do another update after the spell of un-seasonally cold weather.

In my case, the fuses were secure. We used the delivery checklist found on this forum. Hubby checked them for me.
It is a software update that has to be done. Takes about 20 min

Well software update or not, after 54 days at the dealership... Jeep is buying back my 2019 Rubicon, and doing a direct swap for a new jeep hopefully this coming week, the dealership has to file paperwork and get me moving. I just have to browse their inventory online and tell them which Jeep I want them to put aside for me.

My date got pushed back again. Jeeps been there almost 60 days now. Was notified today that my newest date (3/29) has changed again. Not a happy camper here. My dealer has gave me a 4 door as an option. Still communicating with Jeep on this. I'm not understanding why dates keep getting pushed back and what's taking so long for this

You might want to ask your dealer why your particular vehicle can not just have the IPC flashed with updated software. Technical Service Bulletin (08-023-19) has the information your dealer needs.

Update on my JLUR post IPC software update:
First start of the morning...

3/22/2019 @ 31 degrees F. = no issue (low of 20 degrees F. overnight)
3/23/2019 @ 25 degrees F. = no issue (ditto)
3/24/2019 @ 25 degrees F. = no issue (ditto)
3/25/2019 @ 28 degrees F. = no issue (ditto)
3/26/2019 @ 23 degrees F = no issue (low of 18 degrees F. overnight)
3/27/2019 @ 27 degrees F = no issue (low of 17 degrees F. overnight)

Prior to the software update, the IPC malfunctioned at all of the above temperatures (more often at the lower temperatures). I am optimistic that the issue has been corrected.

I'm considering having that done now. Jeep is suppose to be contacting me back today. my main question is has there been a root cause to this yet? Why is it taking so long to get people the parts needed to get our jeeps back on the road. my other question is it does only seem to be doing it until the jeep gets warm. IF that is the case how would a flash fix the problem by putting a different software in a computer? This is just my own thought that to me it seems there is a contact that's not making on the board inside the cluster. It shrinks when its cold and expands enough when it gets warm to make contact. Maybe i am wrong by all means not saying that's what the problem is. If i am wrong someone please correct me as I am trying to understand this along with everyone else who is going thru this problem. I am just curious what it actually really is causing the clusters to do this. I have not seen or heard an answer as to why. Along with most everyone else. My jeep can have the flash. My service guys told me they are not sure if that will work or not and went ahead and ordered a cluster. My fear now is if we do the flash and the weather warming up like it is here in IN what will happen in the fall when the temps drop again? Will i be in the same boat as i am in now?

Plus the service bulletin is for 3.5 or 7 inch in BW which is black and white. Mine is color. And is a 5 inch display. I do not have the black and white display and my sales code does not start with JAY. Hopefully this does not fool anyone

UPDATE: I got a call saying my cluster was in (4/3) and to bring my car in the next day so they could do the software update and then install the cluster. At the end of the day (4/4) I get a call from the service manager saying my part was backordered and that they didn't even do the software update. UM, WHAT?!

He's now confused as I explain what was supposed to happen, says he's going to get an update and call me back, which he never does. So I stop in on my way home from work. Nobody seemed to have any idea about, well, anything. They promised they would do my update first thing in the AM, so I left the car overnight.

Just got a call saying that the software update is complete and fixed the cluster reboot problem (#SKEPTICAL) and that there is no need to install the new cluster. Going to pick it up after work.

How do places stay in business when they have a complete disregard for the customer and generally just don't seem to know what's going on? and Where is my cluster that was ordered?

Sounds like dealer has no clue either. I've been wondering where the cluster is for 2 months. Trying the flash. I'll have my ride back wednesday

Hi everyone,
Recently there was a Technical Service Bulletin (08-023-19) that appears to address concerns similar to the symptoms that some of you are having with your vehicle. To ensure this TSB applies, we would like to get you into the dealer to have a qualified technician review the details of the TSB and specifics of your vehicle. Once reviewed, the technician can then perform the repair procedure that best matches the symptoms and diagnosis of your vehicle.

Thanks for this!! I called my service department and gave them this information. I've been trying to be patient. Ordered in December they said my new cluster isn't in yet but the dash is (They replace that too?) I also didn't want my Jeep being kept like some folks here, so I've not been pushing. Anyway, mine still crashes, no matter the temperature. I'm scheduled for the computer flash update next Tuesday. I'm hoping that works. I'll post results.
