My issue is related to remote start. If I use remote start via the FOB. The codes get out of sync every time (easy to duplicate) So until they have a fix (likely software related) I just make sure I do a lock/unlock/lock cycle using the FOB after I get out of the Jeep after a remote start activity.
Activity - remote start via FOB - vehicle locks during this
Unlocks when I go to enter after a remote start just fine (engine running)
Get out of vehicle and lock using proximity
Now if I try to unlock via proximity it takes a few pulls and will continue to act up until I do the below action
If I use the FOB and do a lock/unlock/lock using the FOB, the sync is back on track and no issues with proximity until I do a remote start again
I can consistently duplicate this.

Mines the same. I've been working with a FCA engineer trying to solve this for over a month and still nothing. Luckily, they aren't keeping it at the dealer but instead asking me to send them videos trying different things.

Please let me know if they come up with a resolution. I have been on the technical side of the auto industry for 35 years and the last 30 of those with OEMs. I will be very surprised if this is not a software or firmware issue. I will notify Jeep that I have this issue as well, because I know that with OEMs, resolution priority is related to the number of complaints.

Definitely will as I know a lot have this issue. I'm not going to let this go with them until there is a resolution.

Yep, this exactly the behavior I reported on this thread sometime ago. I have been waiting and watching to see when a fix would turn up. Sadly, this is not moving very fast on FCA's side. My work around is the same as reported above. I just lock the jeep using FOB after any form of remote start. Solves it, but annoys me every time since I know it is a bug.

I've been still working with FCA sending videos of things they request. I'm taking it back into the dealer on Tuesday and FCA engineers are going to come out and run some tests.

I have this same issue. First 6 months it worked great. Then There was a delay for the door to unlock. Itā€™s faster to just unlock it manually. Iā€™ve noticed the delay developed when the weather got cold (below 40) and on a rare day itā€™s warmer it works fine again. Maybe itā€™s a coincidence but something Iā€™ve noticed.

My 2018 had a horrible delay and would sometimes simply not unlock at all. My 2019 is much better, has always worked eventually, and only rarely was there a delay. I'm happy with the operation in the 19.

I'm not saying 19s are fixed over 18s, simply that I've experienced both sides of this, for extended periods of time.

Hi Deride,
We can imagine why this may be frustrating. We suggest having your dealer look into this. In addition, we are also available to provide you with assistance while your Jeep is at the dealer.

The transmitters on the key fobs are very weak and intended to be so. As such, the signal will not go through a lot of things especially if the batter is not new. From experience with a weaker battery if the fob is in my front pocket it will work but in my back pocket it may not.

I will some times put my fob in my front pocket and forget my cell phone is also there. If the cell phone is between the jeep and the fob...the signal will not make it and the doors will not unlock. Same with keys or anything else that might interfere with the signal getting to the Jeep.

However if I have the fob in my front pockets of jackets, pants...as long as there is nothing else in my pockets it works just fine. Anything else...its up for grabs.
