Loving all the pictures. Seems like 37's are more and more popular. How are people's experiences with 37's on the new JL in terms of engine performance and overall drive city/highway? Are 37's fine on stock components or should you start looking at upgrading drivetrain, etc with 37's?

Love this! I couldn’t find any pics of a 2 door rig with the specs I’ve wanted to build!
Thanks!
Are u still getting pushed around on the road from the wind with the extra weight?

This is answered in various ways in various threads -- that being said -- biggest risk seems to be in the steering department more-so than drivetrain/gearing department. I needed a stabilizer on mine (37 KO2s & Mopar 2 inch lift). I struggle on the highway with the 4.10 gears but I would not say it is unlivable (especially if this is your weekend warrior rig). Driving <50 MPH is no problem at all given the new auto transmission & ratios. Hope that helps.

Definitely 37s. If you have a Rubicon and don't plan on lifting it run the 35s. If you run 2"+ you'll be sorry a week later if you don't get the 37s. I wish I would have bought the 38s instead of the 37s. Now im running the 38s with the stock 4.10s and it feels the same. The JL is nothing like the JK. I put 5.13s in my JK with 35" tires and it was still a pig. The JL is nothing like that. Also, yes on the highway you'll 8th sometimes but I just put it in manual mode and upshift. No big deal.

In the 35’s versus 37’s debate, one thing to keep in mind is that the Rubicon has the high fenders and the other models do not. The Rubicon high fenders sit 1” higher than the standard fenders, which means you can fit a 2” taller tire with the same fender gap. If you are planning on putting a lift and bigger tires, it’s my opinion that 35’s look small on a Rubicon with 2” lift because of the high fenders. When I lifted my Jeep, I browsed this forum extensively looking at pictures and thought the lifted Rubicons with 35’s looked disproportionate. So, if you are planning on lifting your Jeep and getting bigger tires, it’s my opinion that Moab, Sahara, and Sport = 35’s and Rubicon = 37’s, assuming a 2” Mopar lift.

I went with 37’s on my Rubicon and it looks proportionate but they are a big tire. My Jeeplooks pretty sweet though.

Those of you running 37's. Did you loose 8th gear?

Yes you lose 8th for the most part. On the highway after I get up to speed I'll put it in manual mode and shift into 8th. It holds it for the most part.

I was quoted 10 hours by one dealer, I ultimately negotiated $2895 for the lift and install. I doubt that’s the best deal around tho.
Local dealer quoted $1495 for parts and $595 labor, $2090 for Mopar 2" lift. Speedo update $145. Also providing $500 credit for 33" to 35".

I was quoted 1695 for mopar lift installed. Seems like a great deal based on these prices.
