I’ve been trying in vain to find a shop that will fill my CO2 powertank. In the San Francisco Bay area. I’ve called welding supply stores as they all tell me that they do not refill they’ll only swap

I live in San Francisco. I work in the East Bay. suggestions?

Check out brewing service stores, fire extinguisher stores, and restaurant service stores as a lot of them may refill.

Maybe check out some local home brewing clubs/forums to see who they use.

A quick Google search suggested Brewcraft and Carbonic Service as companies that refill but I don't know if those would be near you or not.

Check with welding supply companies like airgas and some local ones. I used to get mine filled at local welding supply shop.

Did that first. They all said no. They only swap canisters....
Some of the larger companies will only swap bottles. I had one company try to do that with my powertank. While I’m sure they had honest intentions, , I declined. There are tons of welding supply shops in the Bay Area. Ask around. You’ll be able to find someone.

@Cali-JeepJL For what it's worth, I just got mine filled here: http://www.acmefireusa.com (Fruitvale Ave, Oakland) for $30 out the door (including tax). If you drop it off around 10:30 or 11, you can pick it back up a little after noon. They fill in batches once a day.
