This feature has worked flawlessly for me thus far. While idling my vehicle, I do get a notification on the message center after about 15-20 minutes stating that the ESS system needs serviced.

Is this caused by the amount of time I am idling or does the system likely need serviced?

Unplug your Tazer and see if you still get the message. It’s a live feature, so no need to unmarry. Just unplug it.

Also put a multimeter to your batteries to see if they’re fully charged. There are a couple of detailed posts on how to get accurate voltage readings from each battery.

I reached out to the service department at the dealership. Apparently it is a timer when idling that sets off this message.

Sounds like something they made up to be honest, that doesn't even make sense.
