This is starting off as a slow build compared to others on here. I have been trying to wait out all the product releases so I dont just jump into a purchase and regret it later. I have built a few jeeps in the past so this process isnt new to me.

Here are a few of the old builds.

Ended up building the 4runner, taking it on a 3800 mile road trip and trading in on the JL all within a year. I do miss the 4runner for daily family activities and will probably end up with another one once I get rid of my truck.

Got my Barnes bumper installed along with some KC LED lights wired up to the factory fog light switch. Also installed some Bajadesigns on the a-pillars. I have a Warn Zeon 10-S winch for the bumper but havent had time to get it installed yet.

This has to be the best mod I have done so far. Very easy to install and for someone who has a bum leg its a lifesaver. Im glad MORE is making these dead pedals!

Im trying to figure spare tire mounting solution. Has anyone tried the new adjustable mount from teraflex?

I also need to replace the stock rubi rails with a rock rail that can double as a step. Any suggestions?

Ditched the Barnes bumper for a Rugged Ridge. I was having fit problems with the Barnes and the Warn winch.

I highly recommend Roam frame mounted rock sliders / steps. I have an artificial knee and they make a huge difference. Also my 9yr old also loves them and makes getting in and out much easier for her.

They are very sturdy and can take some abuse. Another benefit is they really reduce the rocks thrown on the rear fenders and side of jeep. If you have questions Roam is a forum sponsor, and they are active on here. I like them enough that I will be buying a 2nd set for my replacement JLUR. After using them for a few months, they meet all of my needs for my trail runs and day to day use.

LOD makes a similar pair, but they mount different, and the steps themselves are smaller. With my knee I wanted the largest step opening I could get. I am sure LOD is a great product as well, but I have not used them myself other than checking them out on other jeeps in person. Either would be a good place to start.

@ROAM are on the top of the list for me. I really like them and customer service has been great answering my questions even though I haven't purchased yet.

Got some sound deadening and headliners installed this weekend. Hoping the trip to Target & the Mall is more enjoyable now.

Camped out Friday and wheeled all day today. Had a great time at the IronRock Offroad open house in Gilbert OHV park.
