Living in Northern California, I took full advantage of our sunny 70 degree day we had. Took off the top, doors, and windshield (because why not). Questions welcome!
Nice! I am really going to miss being doorless and topless most of the year (moved from CA to VA recently).

Question - Got any specs on that door holder rig? Looks like 2in PVC but I'd love to know specifics if you got 'em. Thanks.

For sure! It’s 1” pvc around 30’ worth plus the elbows and T’s. 18” tall 12” wide and 8 inches in between each section the doors sit in. Here is a photo of it empty.

It’s great cause it’s light and renter friendly sometimes I even use it for my freedom tops.

I thought about making and selling them but eh. Let me know if you have anymore questions!

With out that harness how hard would it be to remove the top by your self?
I would say very difficult for one person. Two people no problem it’s lighter than the JK but I live alone so I picked up those supplies from Home Depot this morning. Two 2.5ft locking carabiners (lockstraps) $15 each (didn’t want to drill into a beam being a renter). The brand was “Keeper” I believe is the official name. Then the red and black rachet straps are 16’ long and 1 and 1/2” thick Husky brand $12 for both.

Awesome, can't wait to see more pics like these. Love your rack by the way :D
I have to wait a couple months before I take everything off.

Nice Jeep and setup in the garage. I remember people going under the hard top and "walking" it off the back. I was always afraid to make a $2,500 mistake and dropping the top. Your setup looks cheap and easy.

The front doors are supposed to be 18 lbs. lighter than JK and the rear doors are supposed to come 14 lbs lighter. So are the door noticeably lighter than the JK doors when you’re removing them?

Much lighter! I wish I would have weighed them but the rear doors weight threw me off they were so light I was not expecting that

Nice! Man you should do a post on how you made the door holder; dimensions of pvc etc, that thing is awesome!

Could you also go in a bit more detail about how you made that harness for the top? Looks cool.

For extra safety, I would pick up a cheap 4-pack of 1" tie-downs or ratchet straps and use them as secondary straps. Cheap insurance!
