The crew at Northridge4x4 are 4x4 enthusiasts and it really makes us happy to show off the projects our employees have going. This one belongs to Meg, our Customer Service manager. If you called in to Northridge4x4 will a problem or a return, there's a good chance you've talked with Meg.
Meg has been with us for a few years now and she finally got the chance to buy her first Jeep. It's a black 2018 Jeep JL Unlimited Sahara that she's planning a soccer-mom type build. Something mellow enough to drive every day, yet equipped enough to go hit the backroads for some explorations.
First mod - Protect the Carpets:
With kids climbing in and out of the Jeep everyday, one of the first things Meg did was to add in a set of Weathertech Floor Liners to keep the carpets looking good.
They are super simple to install yourself, you can find the DIY instructions here: Weathertech JL Floor Mats.
What we used: Weathertech Floor Liners for 2018 JL
Second Mod - Protection from the Sun:
Jeeps are supposed to be open top rigs, yes? That's definitely the way Meg likes her Jeep... top off and cruising in the sun. However that sun can get a little harsh after a few hours, so we installed a SPIDERWEBSHADE to keep the open air feeling and to keep from getting baked in the sun.
The SPIDERWEBSHADE does an excellent job of blocking the suns harsh rays while still letting you enjoy an open top vehicle.
They're also quite simple to install: DIY - SPIDERWEBSHADE for your JL
What we installed: JL SPIDERWEBSHADE
Third Mod - Protect the Rockers:
With the long wheelbase the Unlimiteds have, there is a lot of sheetmetal between the tires that need to be protected. Plus some steps would be nice to make getting in and out of the vehicle a little easier, especially once we get some lift under it.
For their good looks and dedicated steps that hang down, Meg chose the aluminum N-Fab Predator PRO side steps. These were also an easy DIY installation and took very little time to install.
Check out the install here: N-Fab Pedator PRO How-To
What we used: N-Fab Predator PRO PN# PRJ18
Fourth mod - Rugged Ridge Dash Phone Mount
Having a place to store your phone is a nice plus and the Rugged Ridge Multi-Mount System is an easy way to mount both your cell phone and an action camera like a GoPro.
Check out the How-To here: Rugged Ridge Multi-Mount System

Fifth mod -S&B Filters Cold Air Intake
It was time to add a little bling under the hood and pick up some horsepower while we were at it! For this build we went with the Cold Air Intake from S&B Filters. Quality product, easy to install and the price was definitely in line with keeping our costs down.
