Off Road Pages Update Status...

ORP and Sirius Guardian connected! Confirmed my feelings. Many times, ORP was not immediately available on the menu screen...then a few minutes later it was. Seemed that ORP had to be 'downloaded' or connected to a broadcast to run. What next, a subscription required for the speedometer or odometer?
I hope that Tazer can eventually break into the UConnect system and make ORP a true individual display function.
I'm thinking a Uconnect subscription for swaybar disconnect or lockers is next :computerrage:

I'm thinking a Uconnect subscription for swaybar disconnect or lockers is next :computerrage:
I just talked with Sirius guardian about my uconnect not working and the person that I talked with seemed very knowledgeable
and she did not know anything about having to have a Sub scription to have the off-road pages.

I just talked with Sirius guardian about my uconnect not working and the person that I talked with seemed very knowledgeable
and she did not know anything about having to have a Sub scription to have the off-road pages.
If you look at post 465 where I copied and pasted the email reply I got when I emailed uConnect customer care she said

"I have looked into the Off Road Pages further and have determined you are correct, you do need an active subscription with Sirius Guardian in order to be able to utilize that feature.
If you would like to resubscribe to Sirius Guardian you can do so by calling them at 844-796-4827."

Looks like she dug into the issue to get an answer. Jeepcares had me PM my VIN this afternoon so they could escalate this issue internally to try and get a definitive answer to what's going on since different groups and even different people in the same group are giving different answers.

All I know for sure is my ORP icon was replaced with an Activate Service icon the day after my Guardian services free trial expired. Have you ever noticed when you first start the jl it just has a U icon that changes to the ORP icon after a minute or so? It appears it checks your subscription status or something before giving you access to the ORP icon.

Has anyone continued to have the Off Road Pages more than a few days after the Guardian 1 year free trial ended?

All of this is a mystery for sure. I have had the activate services icon since I bought my jeep last July but I’ve never had off-road pages. My uconnect did work up until the first of the December and that is why I was talking with Sirius guardian today. She was telling me all of the services provided through them if I renew a subscription and Offroad pages was not mentioned and she had never heard of it!

If it's true we need to be a subscriber to Guardian, then this is false advertising. This screenshot is back from 3/5/18 before Jeep pulled it from the website (Notice no asterisk after Off-Road Pages):

Those have asterisks (or whatever those, "reference below for more info" things are called) next to them specifically saying those are paid subscription items. Off-Road Pages does NOT have any asterisks, therefore its included permanently with no subscriptions.

You do not need an active SiriusXM subscription for Off-Road Pages. The message quoted by @Greg H from the Uconnect Representative has been passed on internally for the representative to be corrected. If you have lost Off-Road Pages, please send us a private message so that we can investigate.

I have PMd jeep cares. They said they investigated this and worked with the uConnect people. They said I should not have lost my ORP and they are going to try and add them back remotely.

Darlene @JeepCares came thru. She investigated the issue and said the rep in Customer care gave me bad info in the email I received and I shouldn't have lost the Off Road Pages. They were able to do an over the air update to give me back the Off Road Pages. I didn't have them when I got off work but they were back when we left home to go out for dinner tonight. She didn't say why I lost them the day after my SiriusXM Guardian Service free trial ended.

Just got home last night and checked and mine are still there and work. Glad your issue got straightened out.

Hello All,

We have received an update regarding Off-Road Pages. Manual downloads will not be available on driveuconnect.com until further notice, contrary to the information we had previously provided. However, anyone needing the JORP manual download can visit their dealership at any time, as it was just made available at the end of last week. TSB 08-001-19 has been released for dealers to perform the manual update using a flash drive, and they have access to this TSB through their online technical resources. At this time, if you call the dealer and request for TSB 08-001-19 to be applied to your vehicle, they can perform the repair once you bring it in. As always, please feel free to message us with further questions.

I just set up my appointment at a Jeep Dealer, but they seemed confused about this update being performed and think this is like a Map update. I am hoping when I drop it off that my service advisor will know what to do, however if there are issues when I bring it in, Who can I direct them to call to get the scoop? The person I talked to was a scheduler and I am pretty sure she just does reception so isn't familiar is all, but just in case I would like to have something in my back pocket to pull out to make sure they understand what they are doing. Also, this should be covered under warranty, correct? I'm having it done at the same time as my Oil change.

Give them the TSB number when you drop it off. You could even show them the post from jeepcares. If they don't already have the update file it will take all day. It takes around 4 hours for the dealer to download the file from Jeep. Then another couple of hours to update the uConnect system. My dealer said it doesn't just add the ORP but applies all available updates.

Dealer flashed my radio and I finally have Off-Road Pages! So far they haven't disappeared but its only been a day lol.
